Our roommates that we had move in to help them out, have been nothing but sick. Two nights ago their 16month old was throwing up and so was his mom. SHe said it was food poisoning. But now DH, MIL, FIL and myself are all sick. But DS is happy as can be and wants to play and party it up. Poor guy, I can only entertain him for as long as I can.
I also side eye dang near everything this Mom does. No healthy food for her LO just pizza, soda and candy. Half the time he is in nothing but a saggy diaper. She is 19 and very much a 19 year old. I just try to give tips and advice without over steeping. But dang man.
OMG that's awful! That would def drive me insane! I don't understand why someone would give a child that young soda and crap food like that. Special occasions its ok (not the soda) but to have them eat pizza and candy as a norm is not ok. Setting that poor little girl up for so many healthy problems in the future!
I make him eggs every morning or I make a crock pot Oatmeal with apples and cinnamon. He loves good food, his mom just doesn't know how to make anything that you can't put in the microwave. So I am teaching here a few simple meals. But she didn't even know how to make Mac and Cheese (from the box). All I'm doing is some stand off advice and try to make more meals that would be healthy and geared for a 16 month olds needs.
Well thankfully you are there to show her how to prepare better meals! I hope she takes your advice to heart and reconsiders the food choices.
And oops, I said girl in my OP... Boy, I meant boy! Lol!

This! Last night we were at a school thing for DS and DH and I saw a dad giving his LO (maybe 18mo) Diet DrPepper. I was cringing with every gulp. Maybe it's not her norm but I told DH if I ever catch him feeding that to DD I'd be obligated to rip him a new one. I have a hard enough time with DS having any and he doesn't get it often at all and never caffeine.
Also @crunchymama11 I haven't forgotten you. It has been one of those days that hasn't slowed down.
I'm fucking grumpy. I drove H all around today while his car is being serviced, and we ran some errands.
I was hoping to switch phone plans today and use my new phone, but my contract isn't up for another month.
I wanted to get my rings resized and H said the jeweler was open til 6 but they closed at 3.
I was hungry most of the day but we were on his work schedule, so when we finally rolled into Taco Bell, I was ravenous and really excited for a shredded chicken burrito, since the last time I ordered one they gave me a bean burrito. I also ordered a grilled stuffed burrito with no meat. They fucked up the chicken burrito again...it was just rice and sour cream and cheese. Good thing for the second burrito, which they managed to execute correctly. I am so upset about this! I am still hungry.
The kitchen needs to be cleaned up and I loathe washing dishes.
At least LO was a perfect angel through the whole day.
TL; DR: I have first world problems and a happy baby!
Unfortunately first world problems can be a drag. Nothing sucks more than being disappointed while starving. I'm am thoroughly impressed you made it through the whole day with a happy baby.
I just want my cutie to s l e e p......and let me put him down for longer than 10 minutes, please. He's all smiles when held, but full on whine into shriek when put down.

Yea I would seriously kick DH in the balls if I caught him doing that! He knows how I feel about BABIES or TODDLERS drinking soda.
A girl on my fb just posted "Beer. Because I drugged my child and I can." This is the second time she has posted about "drugging" her child bc he won't sleep at night. She's giving him melatonin, letting him CIO, etc and he is only 4 mos old.

I am so tired. Rebecca is still getting up every 2hrs. She did 5hrs on the weekend, I was Soo happy but it seemed to be a weekend special n back to 2hrs she went. I try to give her the soother n rock her but doesn't work..she needs to be nursed. My friend that just had a baby on January is getting 5hrs at night already! I am little jealous
I took 20 ounces of pumped milk out of my work bag to put in the refrigerator, and then set it in the dining room table to deal with the crazy toddler hysterics that greeted me when I walked in the door after work...
I realized at 4am that those twenty ounces were still on my table, not in the refrigerator. I cried. I don't get paid for pumping time at work, so that is about two hours of work time down the drain!

I am losing my mind.
@inn2 we are going through the same thing over here! It makes me feel better (sorry) since our kiddos were born on the same day. Maybe its that 4 month wakeful? After many comments from my mom about still having dd's crib in our room I was starting to think it was a parenting fail. I hope we both get some sleep soon!
@deedee1017, they sell special swim diapers that are made to go in the water. Not sure if you can get them at a regular store before the summer though, you may have to order from amazon.
Doing any work today? I'm not as you can see lol.
My husband has his interview for the new job at 10:00 today. We are both freaking out!!!!
Good luck to him!
My husband had an interview yesterday and he feels really bad about it. They put him on the spot and made him do something on an old version of excel and he fumbled through it.
Thanks! He said it went really well so fingers crossed! Sorry about your husband but hopefully they were taking into account that he was nervous in an interview situation. Fingers crossed for you as well

@crunchymama11 and @bkeane, good luck with your kiddos. I hope you get answers soon.
I really love coming to this board and catching up with everyone. I always look forward to UO an FFFC.
