Weekly Exercise Thread (sorry, its a day late)

Hi ladies, sorry I'm posting a day late. I was off yesterday and was entirely off-line yesterday. So nice to do every once in awhile. So how did you do this past week?

Question/Advice for STMs or FTMs who already have a plan: How do you plan on finding time once baby is here to get your body back? Will you be toting baby with you or arranging for childcare, etc.?

  • Week: Week 26...almost 27
    Exercise Log:
    Monday, 2/10 - 1 hour body pump
    Tuesday, 2/11 - 3.5 mile walk with dog
    Wed, 2/12 - 1 hour prenatal yoga
    Thurs, 2/13 - Snow day - off
    Friday, 2/14 - 15 min elliptical, 10 min cycle, squats/lunges/ab work
    Sat, 2/15 - 1 hour body pump
    Sun, 2/16 - 4.5 mile walk with dog
    Monday, 2/17 - 1 hour 360 class
    Rants/Raves:Rant - this snow! When will it end? I am so over this winter weather. Looking forward to Spring already. Extra rant - DH's birthday today and I may have gotten a 1/2 sheet cake and it may be disappearing rather quickly....Rave: I hit almost every single day this past week for some type of exercise!
    Goals for this week: Hit the gym at least 5x & avoid birthday cake.

  • Week: 28 weeks

    Exercise Log:
    mon:30 min ellptical 30 min legs
    Tues/thurs: running (20/25 min about 2.5 miles) and arms
    Wed:walking and legs
    Fri:30 min ellptical, medicine ball circuit 100 squats 100 lunges

    Rants/Raves: doctor told me I had to stop running until they see me and I want to cry haha. Today is suppose to be a gym day and I'm sure ill be starting at all the runners with hateful eyes >.<.

    Goals for this week:keep up all my other excersise a modify my run days

    Question/Advice for STMs or FTMs who already have a plan: How do you plan on finding time once baby is here to get your body back? Will you be toting baby with you or arranging for childcare, etc.?

    My gym has a child care area where I can work out and watch baby. My son loves going and playing with the toys. My husband should have it easy with work so once he's home ill be out the door. Once my son is in school again ill have 3 days to run with baby in the bob.

    Thurs- prenatal yoga
    Fri-sat barre class
    Sun walk 3 miles
    Rants/Raves: I'm really happy that I'm on track for weight and that I feel better than I thought I would this far along. I know staying active has made a huge impact on that.
    Goals: stick to it!
    Question/Advice for STMs or FTMs:
    My barre studio has child care and my condo community has a pretty good gym/pool and activity center so I'll leave DD with DH, have some alone time and work it out :) Def doing on-line barre3 workouts too.

    Monday 2/10: Rest
    Tuesday 2/11: 45 min elliptical
    Wednesday 2/12: 45 min elliptical
    Thursday 2/13: 60 min Bodyworks class
    Friday 2/14: 1 hour hike
    Saturday 2/15: 30 min elliptical, 20 min light weights
    Sunday: rest
     
    Rants: I was on vacation and ate as such. Blechhh food hangover.
    Raves: I hiked the Camelback Mountain outside Phoenix and did better than some of the pro baseball players that were hiking it for spring training. They cheered me on and said I was "inspiring." :)
    Goals for this week: Get back into a healthy eating pattern.
    Question/Advice for STMs or FTMs who already have a plan: How do you plan on finding time once baby is here to get your body back? Will you be toting baby with you or arranging for childcare, etc.? My gym doesn't take newborns in their childcare area so I guess DH and I will have to take turns at the gym and then maybe on the weekends we can get a sitter & have gym dates.

    Week 26: mo/di twin boys

    Mon: 30min strength
    Thurs: 40min walk
    Sat: 30 min strength; 45min walk
    Sun: 30 min walk

    Rants: only got 4 days in (goal was 5) but was feeling blah Mon-wed and having some cramping. There are WAY too many sweets in my house and I just can't help myself. The GS cookies are killing me. I never had a sweet tooth before being prego the first time.

    Raves: I still got 4 days in on a blah week.

    Goals: 5 days. Less cookies (I ate 4 just before typing this) :/

    I will do videos and weights at home when I find the time. I also have a treadmill in the garage, which is great as long as it's not too cold or too hot. The gym is super close, so hopefully DH will let me sneak away for some classes. I take DD on a lot of walks now but that will be challenging with two newborns and a toddler. Might push two and wear a baby. Trying to find the right stroller.
