  • I am just getting back to this forum, because i do have children and responsibilities.of my own. I am blown away by the sheer hatefulness from grown women. This comment is not a reflection of the whole community. There are some supporters of healthy living that are posting.there has been accusations or insultes on those of us who don't post or rarely post. I have 5 pregnancy apps that I normally scan through quickly.I haven't posted to this particular app because every time I look it seems fairly negative, involving everything from baby daddy problems to mother in law issues. So normally I check my calendar and weekly pregnancy progress information. I have been a member of this site for several months during this pregnancy. The original poster of this thred has mostly dropped off the radar,:where farmboyswife came on full force. I am sorry you have been a member since 2010 but you don'tvown this site. That does not give you seniority over anyone. This is a public site for mothers. Obviously, new positive, upbeat members are desperately. I am shocked at the language and criticism on here! Someone posted. "Who the fuck, are these white knights?"
Meanwhile, I agree with the poster who inquired that farm boys wife was developing a conspiracy theiry or some other delusion. Another poster stated this was the twilight zone lol. She might be right" who would have thought that women would be so hostile over seeing a fit mother. Sia DOES NOT look unhealthy. Pregnancy is not an excuse to be completely overweight. Sia is breastfeeding her son like a champ obviously, she is not anorexic and she has a great milk supply.
  • Sia is an operating room nurse. I am a nurse as well but to state anyone can be a nurse is absurd. A lot of people can't take the pressure Of school and clinicals, Sia is very knowledgeable. Nursing school at national licensure is not a walk in the park. Her blog is "fitmommydiaries" that explains the purpose of the forum. So if you don't like seeing photos, including before and after photos then you should not go to her blog. Problem solved.

  • Lol. According to your username I can jump to conclusions about you as well. I don't personally know Sia. She lives in Florida and I live in Texas. Again you try to monopolize this forum but I am not going anywhere. Your making assumptions about a lot! Your the one who comes off as unprofessional. Yes, I follow Sia. I am from the town she lives in and I was very involved in fitness and figure.I am pregnant with my 6th baby, my first son. I consume 2500 calories a day through clean eating. I weigh 116 pounds at 5"5" and my din is measuring 2 weeks ahead with his size. I'm on bed rest due to stent placement with hydronephrosis. I support healthy/fit mommies. There are a lot women making a difference. I will be posting post part um pics as well, whether you like it or not. Now I have to feed my girls. Go ahead and get your last word in farm boys wife! If you incist on stating untrue facts or misconceptions then I will pm a "novel" to you tomorrow. Maybe you can pm me some before and afters of yourself! I have a funny feeling that will explain yiur hostility. This thread started because of a jealous poster bashing Sia. Yes I was going to take up for her! The comments about her were very insulting and I as well am entitled to free speech. Good night...

I am also a nurse. I work in a trauma emergency room and work bedside/charge nurse. As a nurse yourself you know that there are different credentials as a nurse. Different levels of knowledge for different practices. Also as a nurse you know yourself that you have to be careful of the advice you give out due to legal issues. I see it every day how a LPN will call herself a nurse. I have had many patients who claim to be nurses but when it comes down to it they are basic CNA's (side note-I love my CNA's and all because they are awesome and help us out so much). However do you see most of us on here giving advice on what you should eat/not to? No. Where are the links for the information? Where did she acquire that data? Where are the recommended daily portion sizes?
This is what I was pointing out. I did also mention good for her, however it is not a blog to get nutrition advice and safe exercising advice from.

A doctor once told me a trained monkey can be a nurse (passing out meds and cleaning vomit etc). It takes a true nurse to actually use critical thinking.

  • What the fuck??  Gimme a minute.  I just got back from a busy day of errands in a snow storm... but seriously.. what the fuck?  there's too much BSC drive bys lately ugh
  • Now I'm all fired up....

And why the fuck does this lady think it's at all effective to post on HER blog a response.... instead she sends her pathetic minions to this board, which is intended for women who are expecting children in the month of March, to defend her??

Someone even commented how "it's very mature of you to address it like this instead of firing back with more negativity".  Really??  Mature?  If she wants to participate in the discussion... make a god damn username, announce yourself as Sia, and reply!

Seriously, I'm pissed that she just blasted my username on her blog.  Irresponsible, rude, inconsiderate blogger if you ask me.

I wonder if she'll take pictures of people who might talk about her at Starbucks and "reply" publicly about their opinions if that ever happens.  Childish...
  • She's not exercising that early. She is waiting until she's cleared by her doctor. You are being misinformed by this post.
She's not?  She posted pics on her pinterest of her doing squats, lunges, and situps with her baby A WEEK AFTER GIVING BIRTH.

Whatever, if she can do it, fine, I don't really care.  It doesn't change the fact that I think she's annoying.

@cawettig Just wanted to point out that LPNs are nurses and allowed to call themselves so. LPN and RN is the only licensure that legally can address themselves as such. I do get annoyed when CNAs or medical assistants do it! The MA at my OB addressed herself as my nurse and I certainly did not appreciate that she was giving me teaching.
Totally agree with you, I was trying to show how many different levels there are and the fact that CNA's and MA's call themselves nurses. I also was a LPN prior to getting my RN.
That lady was so vague in her credentials and that is one go the things that bothered me.

Yeah, I don't get why some CNAs and MAs call themselves nurses. I'm a CNA going through nursing school for the LPN to RN bridge program. Certified
Nursing Assistant. CNAs assist nurses, that doesn't mean they are nurses.

I don't know where I'm going with this, I just get a little ragey when other CNAs and MAs do that.

  • Ugh, I actually defriended someone on Facebook that kept liking her blog entries so I wouldn't have to see this obnoxious Fit Mommy person's annoying brag posts anymore. A brag post is a brag post, and the people behind them are just attention seekers, period. Just because she is pregnant does not make it ok or inspirational. I would love to be able to work out like I did pre pregnancy, but my doctor ordered me not to get off of the couch due to severe SPD. I'm curious how this chick would have spun her blog had she been put on bedrest for some reason out of her control. I'll find my inspiration elsewhere, thanks.

  • Seriously.  Is that not disturbing?

I don't care that her body is the way it is because of hours and hours of exercise and clean eating.  She's blasting an image on the internet that undoubtedly proliferates an obsession with weight and body image AND she's targeting a group of women who are likely going through many physical and emotional changes and i'm sure many have countless hurdles to cross once having a baby (exhaustion, depression, self esteem, energy, trying to care for a living thing).  What does this spell??

It spells the fact that she is, to some extent, part of the problem in our society for why women struggle with such intense body/weight issues.

But apparently that makes us all jealous .... yeah, ok.
And when people say "don't hate" it's TOTALLY because they don't expect people to be jealous...  What I hate is that I clicked on the link, giving her yet another hit - ARGH!!
  • I hit the link :(( noooooooo :((
  • The user and all related content has been deleted.
  • I think the white knights and the blogger are ridiculous. I also think her after picture is photo shopped.

  • All of this for stating you thought a blogger was annoying. I think lots of people are annoying.
She needs to get over herself, so what if someone thinks you're annoying?!? Get over it. Apparently she needs other peoples' admiration more than her white knights thought.

    1.  Her posting her own postpartum pictures doesn't make her a hypocrite.
"I do not think it means what you think it means"
    2.  It IS her blog.
    3.  She is a real person blogging/pinning about her situation (that is her reality)
    4.  YOU know what your body can and cannot do before, during, and after pregnancy.
    5.  She clearly understands (and displays that she does) that women are all different under all of these circumstances.
    6.  If you cannot stand her amazing progress, then yes, you shouldn't follow her.

LOL.. "bragging"... LMAO.. On her own blog.. PWAHAHA

    1. It's not the fact that she posted her postpartum pictures. It's the fact that prior to posting those pictures, she posted a picture titled "Expectations vs Reality". @SomersIsles explained it best by saying:

"To any literate person there is a lot to be inferred with the title which should directly relate to whatever message she is trying to convey.

    1) "pressures" ... this suggests she acknowledging the fact that countless (too many) women feel pressured to look a certain way after having a baby, which in turn suggests that these pressures result is negative things (depression etc.)

    2) Expectations vs Reality.  .... she has expectations first, and the washboard stomach is the first picture.... reality is the 2nd word, Kate middleton is the 2nd picture.  Any normal person would infer that she is saying that the washboard stomach is what society and women "expect" but the lovely Kate Middleton is the "reality".."

    2. Yes, it's her blog, that makes a difference, how? She has hundreds of followers. She also has a Facebook, is on Pin, and various other social media sites. Meaning, she wants her posts to be public. In doing this, she leaves herself open to criticism. If she can't handle it, then maybe she shouldn't post so publicly.

    3. Please refer back to 1.

. Yes, all pregnancies are different. All women are different. But what some of us can't understand is..why is it SO important to get a pre pregnancy body back that quickly after giving birth? I don't know how it is for others, but for me, it took me 2 years to get my pre pregnancy body back. Not because I was lazy, but because I felt that it wasn't important. I was just happy spending time with my son and didn't care what others thought about how I looked.

    5. Once again, it's not about how she looked right after birth, it's that she started a work out routine so quickly right after. Which is hypocritical of the picture she posted that I explained in 1.

    6. The OP stated she was no longer following her because she found the blogger to be "annoying" and hypocritical. OP was just sharing her feelings about it and wanted to start a discussion on the subject. As I've said before, if the blogger can't take criticism. then maybe she shouldn't post so publicly. Not everyone is going to like you and it's ignorant to think otherwise.

You made some very valid points about fitmommydiaries. Do not be disheartened by the handful of members who act like a pack of wild hyenas. Instead of making legitimate, educated responded they spew profanity and hatred. They go gangbusters on this site like they own it. This is a public forum for pregnant mommies, and mommies to be. It is supposed to be a place of refuge and support for women nearing delivery, in our case. Don't give them the satisfaction of being bullied off! It is okay to not disagree with someone's beliefs or opinions but there is a tactful way to do it. The reason all of this even started, is because a member just randomly atacked fitmommydiaries. Just because there was some of us who defended her we are then accused of a multiple things like being her, being minionsand so on. I ccould say the same for their top posters as well. So no I won't "piss off" just for the principal of it. I guarantee there are plenty of members who don't post, don't post regularly or members that ate afraid of getting the backlash of these girls who feel they own "the bump March birth club". I am pretty sure they all us are very pregnant nearing our due dates. I have been a mom since 1996 and have found support and commonality with many other moms. I have never seen mothers act like the ownes who.on here that look for a reason not to like other moms. It makes all the other members walk on egg shells.

So don't be pushed away because I certainly am not going to be bullied off of here. Keep finding and giving support to the other pregnant moms on here and more than ever, treasure these last pregnancy weeks with your unborn baby :)
