How long did it take for AF to return?

Hi ladies! Obviously I know that no one here can tell exactly when AF will return POST-miscarriage, but I'm curious to see how everyone else did. I'm waiting for AF to return after a miscarriage at almost 6 weeks. I miscarried 11 days ago. I'm assuming I'll be on a completely new cycle when AF does return, right? I was told to wait until I regulate to start TTC again but I'm anxious.... Ugh. Thanks girls! Hope you're all doing well today! THERESA

It's different for everyone.

I had an ectopic and needed surgery, but my period showed up about 2.5 weeks later. I was told if it took longer than 6 weeks to call my doctor, so I was thrilled that it happened so quickly.

It took 11 weeks for me, and I had to take Provera.

The poll will give you a better idea than this post, but I'll share my experience. With my first loss, it was right on schedule at 30 days and with my second loss it was 34 days.

Five weeks to the day of my D and C, but has been wonky ever since. I was also told to come back to my doctor if I didn't have it within two months.

I tend to have 27-29 day cycles (pre-1st loss and since). I've had 3 losses:

1st loss was a MMC at 12 weeks. AF showed up 27 days post D&C.

2nd loss was an ectopic at 6 weeks. AF showed up 30 days after D&C and surgery to remove tube.

3rd loss was a natural MC at 7 weeks. AF showed up 22 days later.

So, really can vary, not just between different people, but even for one person per pregnancy. Good luck!

We just have the one blog. Did you read it? Or just skim a little? :-/

This board is for support and shared experiences. You are just going to get random answers asking this question. There are so many factors that will change each persons answer. Lurk a little and go actually read the blog. It will help your time here and answer a lot of your questions, I promise.

5 weeks after my first loss, none after my second loss because I was pregnant with my third loss, 4 weeks after my third loss and I'll let you know when it returns after my fourth loss.

Yeah, that wasn't interesting. That was painful.

I had AF 31 days after my MC. I didn't have the same symptoms as my usual AF, so it was a little weird and different.

To be honest, "interesting conversation" was not the best choice of words. Please remember, I TOO had a MC and it was only 12 days ago... first pregnancy, first MC so, yes, I AM NEW. Help rather than attack would be greatful.

I didn't skim the BLOG (I referenced BLOGS, with an "s", because there are many different posts included on that blog about etiquette, etc.

I am currently waiting for AF to return and thought it would be helpful to hear other women's experiences, rather than see a statistic. I thought that was what these boards were for.

I truly didn't think that asking that question would hurt anyone (as that was clearly not my intention), but obviously it did. I think every topic on here can rub someone the wrong way on the wrong day and hit a sore spot.

I came to these boards looking for support, but instead, I feel like I am getting attacked. Please remember that I am hurting as well and have a lot going on in my mind and made an innocent mistake.

Once again, I am sorry.

So... you accidentally say something offensive, 'apologize', then attack us for being offended? Why are you so special that your pain exempts you from being decent to people?

News flash: when you say offensive shit, people will be offended. I am sorry that the existence of other people's emotions is an 'attack' on you. Must make daily life hard.
