Singing at Christmas Eve service was a bust

I went about 20 minutes early to do a sound check at the church.  (I was supposed to sing, "O Holy Night").  I only had the song on a DVD, so it needed to go through the computer in the sound booth.  The computer was not working correctly and the song would only play through the computer speakers, not the speakers in the sanctuary.  I decided to scrap it and have the congregation sing it with the piano instead.  I didn't even stay.  I was so disappointed.  I practiced hard for that solo.  :(

  • Aw, I'm sorry! That's a shame.

  • That's too bad.  O Holy Night sung by the right person can absolutely bring tears to my eyes.  I must say, I am a tad envious (okay, more than a tad) of those who can sing.  I am horrible- really, really bad.  Sadly I think my 4yo got mom's voice :o
  • bummer!  That's disappointing. I am so envious that you can sing, FFG.  I am literally tone deaf=(
  • Oh, and I'm totally envious, too. I can carry a tune and am actually an okay singer (totally untrained, though) but I have so little range. I could never sing a solo like that.
