Who talks to LO at this point

Re: Who talks to LO at this point

  • I have small talks with her when I'm alone usually. Or when I'm feeling discomfort in the belly area I ask her to move or to chill out. Lately she started responding to DD singing goofily in the car. I can feel her go nuts.

  • Sometimes I'll ask her, "What should we have for lunch?" And DH answers. Or I'll pat my belly and say "Hi baby" and DH responds. Haven't had the heart to tell him I'm not talking to him.
  • I guess you can say I talk to my LO in a different way. Me an the DH have been house hunting an lets just we don't see eye to eye in things. One minute he says he likes something an the next he's totally opposite. I tell him " you just told me you liked those kind of cabinets an now you don't" DH " I never said I liked those kind of cabinets" so I look down at my bump "didn't he just say he liked those kind of cabinets". We both laugh. ;;)
  • DH and I try to remember to talk to the baby (who we refer to as Frankie for now) before bed.  We probably do it 3 times a week.  DH will tell Frankie a random story (usually about hockey or something that happened that day) and he kisses my belly throughout the story.  It's so cute. I feel a bit silly, especially because I can't really get close to my belly like DH can, but I still tell Frankie stories as well during this time.

I think as I start to feel the baby and know its sex, I will feel a bit more connected and talk to it more frequently.
