Today I am thankful for...

Seems like a lot of us are off to a crummy start today. In the midst of house problems, financial woes, frustrating family members, etc. there's still got to be something to rejoice in today! (And, no, you don't HAVE to feel obligated and tell us that the one good thing is the baby you're growing- we can assume that's a good thing for us all)

So tell us, what are you thankful for today?

DD's teacher said to send her in BIG GIRL UNDIES on Thursday!! She does better there than at home, but we've been working in it and felt it coming, and it's here!!!!! Before baby no less.

... My husband. He's not perfect, not even close, but over the last few weeks our marriage has been in a really great spot. He's working really hard to be the man he wants to be for our family- a loving husband and involved father, even though this baby is still inside of me.
We had a great conversation the other day about committing to making the other person feel loved on a regular basis. Today that was evident by the fact that he did ALL of the dishes last night before bed. I struggle with not being able to wash dishes in the sink anymore because it hurts my back too much, and he knows that if the pile gets big enough I'll do it anyway just to get rid of the mess.
He's trying, so hard, and I love him for it.

I'm thankful for a loving husband who has been really great the entire pregnancy. He's tolerated my angry moments, my scared moments, and my frustrations. He's been helpful and understanding.

Today I'm thankful that DH always shovels the driveway (and he does an awesome job of completely clearing it!) and that he lets me park my car in the garage (We have a two car garage, but have a lot of crap in one side)

I'm thankful that DS is no longer crying at daycare dropoff. We've felt like it was the right place for him but after 3 months of crying at dropoff I was beginning to worry. Now DH is doing all the dropoff so I felt even more guilt that he was coping with all the heartbreak. So glad he's happier now!

Oh man, where do I start? I'm thankful:
- that my mom and my sister were able to brave the snowy weather craziness to make it out to visit me this weekend, never mind how loving and generous both of them are.
- for my two best girlfriends who co-hosted my frickin' amazing shower, and being able to hang out with all the lovely people in my life who were able to attend.
- to SO for just being him, as well as putting together the nursery and doing all kinds of home renovation projects these past few months.
- for (knock on wood) a healthy pregnancy thus far.
- for this board, too. I don't post *too* much, but it has been great to be around a community of funny, witty, compassionate ladies in the same boat as me. I don't think anyone else around me quite understands the need for a nice piece of cake like you all do, so thanks.

I'm thankful for my parents and their guest house. DH has a military school only 5 weeks after my c section, so my dad is going to fly up here and drive me, my 2 boys and my 2 dogs 11 hours to FL to stay with them for 8 weeks. Thankful we will have our own house but only be steps from family.

I'm also thankful for my best friend who is flying from El Paso tx to NC to watch my DS when I have my c section so my DH can be at the hospital with me.

I'm so thankful for my DH and how amazing he is. He works long hours, but always helps with DS and does the majority of the house cleaning even though I'm a SAHM.

I am thankful that DS is on day four of NO DIAPERS! I am thankful that, for the first time ever, he woke us up in the middle of the night to go potty, instead of wetting the bed.

I am thankful for DH, who has been doing a lot of the potty training, as he can run to the bathroom with DS faster than I can.

I am thankful to my Mom and Aunt, who are going to take DS overnight this weekend so that DH and I can have a night to ourselves.

I am thankful to my Dad and his wife, who called me yesterday to invite DH, DS and I to join them at the Fur Rondy parade on Saturday because they go every year and they have been waiting for DS to get old enough to enjoy it!

I am thankful to our daycare provider, who is so supportive of us potty training, and who is completely OK with the accidents that will inevitably happen.

I am thankful of my MIL and FIL who want to take DS overnight sometime next month so that he can get used to sleeping at their house before he stays there when I am having the baby.

Man I am thankful for this thread today. I truly needed it...

I am thankful for great family and friends who came out to a shower Saturday night for us... Just so great to catch up with everyone since we live 4 hours away now.

So thankful for DH who has made this pregnancy so much easier for me with his helpful attitude and willingness to do whatever it takes to cover my slack. This is my 3rd and his 1st child and it is such a blessing to me to have a partner in this process!!

I am also thankful to my older girls who have been so helpful when I need something they are willing to get it for their crazy grumpy pregnant mama. They have been so understanding and kind to me.

I am so blessed and it is easy some days to forget. Thank you again for starting this thread!!! It has made my day!

I am thankful that my OB called this morning and said my 3 hour glucose test results came out normal. I am also thankful for my husband assembling the bassinet we purchased this weekend and installing our little girl's car seat even though I am only 31 weeks along. Seems like my nesting mode kicked in early but he's going with it.

I'm thankful for a good Drs appointment today and that although incredibly uncomfortable, this pregnancy has gone smoothly. And I'm thankful for this awesome weather today, I was able to put my top down and enjoy the sun while running errands and had more energy today than I've had in a while. And I'm thankful for the 13 boxes go Girl Scout cookies I got yesterday. I'm in tag along heaven.

- I'm thankful for the good sleep I got last night, haven't slept 6 hours straight for a while.
- I'm thankful that the low lying placenta, I had a few months ago, moved; I can have a normal birth!
- I'm thankful that this baby moves all the time, it makes everything feel more real!
- I'm thankful for the people who are around me; my mother, my sister, the in laws, and of course Edgar (SO).
- I am definitely thankful for this board; what would I do without the advise of all the mums out there!

- Having made it two weeks past my old pregnancy milestone. I still panic about it often, but no matter what happens I know that I've still been able to give this baby more time than I could with DD. If I can get to even 35 weeks, I will be so so happy!

- DD. She's picked up a couple of new words recently ('bubble' and 'turtle') and I love it when she expands her vocabulary.

- Sleep. Grateful that DD naps during the day so that I get an hour and a half extra of the good stuff since I wake up so much during the night!

- the gorgeous weather...that looks like it will last throughout the weekend for DD's birthday party!

- a great day with DD: minimal tantrums, a fun story hour, a great nap, and afternoon park time

- DH: specifically for the way he has altered his work schedule to be home almost every night for DD's bath and bedtime. It means he goes to bed later, but she loooooves seeing him and so do I, of course!

DH came home today in a rush to fix the roof he was not thrilled. When he laid down he noticed I had cleaned top to bottom and told me he didn't deserve such a great wife. He said he knows he doesn't say it enough but he appreciates everything I do and that he is the luckiest man and can't wait to be a dad.

Sometimes all it takes is hearing those little things I float the rest of the day!

I'm thankful for my husband. He can always cheer me up when I'm stressed and he has been amazing through the millions of doctors appointments we have had (he does NOT like dealing with doctors).
