XH came to visit this weekend. It was the first time he's seen DD since before Christmas.

I was surprised at how well it went. He and DD spent a lot of time together which gave ME time to go shopping for a bit and get caught up on some housework and fanfiction reading (my latest "guilty pleasure").

I did find out that he is kinda/sorta/unofficially "seeing someone" which made me a bit sad.

He leaves tonight after I get home from work and now I'm worried how DD is going to take it. He'll be back in about a month to visit again but she was SO HAPPY to have her daddy around. Her cousins come home from their dad's tonight though so maybe that will distract her.

    I hope her cousins are a good distraction for her. And im glad the visit went well.

    What kind of fanfiction do you read. I love me some harry potter fanfiction

    Haha...don't laugh :) I read Twilight and 50 Shades of Grey fanfiction. I'd totally read some HP as well!

    Hope your DD has a good week.  I'm sure it will be very hard for her when he leaves.  Poor thing.  Reminds me again of Bernice in Hope Floats when her daddy drives away.  :((

    I also read pretty little liars fanfiction. So i have no room to laugh.

    I have! <3 The Hunger Games...though I have to admit as a parent it makes my stomach lurch to read about kids killing other kids.

    And oh gosh, I haven't thought about Hope Floats in awhile. That scene is so sad :(

    I love that series, too.  Although I can't imagine letting my kid read it.  My cousin was letting her 10 year old read it.  A little too young, IMO, but I'm a little old fashioned, I guess.

    I havent read them yet. Oops, i feel like i should, but i cant find the time to pick up an actual book and i just cant get into kindles

    It took me awhile to get into my kindle because I love reading an actual book and turning the pages and all that.  Once I did though...I can't live without it.  I haven't paid for a book in over a year and I even watch Netflix and stuff on it.  I don't generally leave home without it.  I have a ton of music downloads on it, including our must have sleepy time music for DD.  She also loves to play with it whether it's on or not.

    I just have the plain old Kindle that's not even backlit, but I love it so much. I love love love not having a gazillion books taking up room in my house...they're all either in the cloud or on the device. It's great!
