  DD will be the only one joining us for the end of labor (she's cutting the cord) but we'll be inviting friends to come see us pretty much right after the birth (I've already got people set up with champagne and sushi deliveries). With my first it was just family, the second was almost a free for all with visitors (and friends and family in the delivery room too - never do that), so with this one we planned and shared it with others. The rule for visitors at home is "come to visit but plan to help." A load of dishes or laundry or something is the ticket price for meeting LO.

  This time, DH is in charge of making sure the visits are staggered and that his siblings don't bring their kids. Honestly, my nephews are all complete brats and I really don't think I could handle them visiting. If that means no one comes, that's fine by me.

  13 at one time?? Wow that makes me feel suffocated just reading it. My hospital has a rule of no more than 5 visitors in the room at a time from bdginning of labor through discharge time, ax DH counts as one.
