I have to travel a lot for work. Dh likes to come with me to Boston a couple times per year so we will probably do that again this summer. Oh and we are going to Nashville in April for DHs bday.
My mom offered to take DS for a few nights even before we knew I was pregnant. At that point we were planning a 3-night all inclusive somewhere in the Caribbean.
I'm kind of a worrywart though, so now that I'm knocked up we're thinking a short flight somewhere in the US will do the trick. Top contenders are Charleston, Savannah, or maybe we will venture down to Puerto Rico if we can find a good deal. I like knowing I can drive back to DS if I had to in an emergency though.
We did a big trip to Europe at the end of December. We had been planing to start trying in Dec2013 for quite some time and it was our last hurah before tightning our purse straps for baby. So, I think I'm counting that as our babymoon. I hope to do a weekend getaway though.
Last time we drove to San Diego for a few days. This time we are planning on taking DD to Disneyland for our last trip as a family of 3. We are also hoping to take a trip somewhere just the two of us in July. Not sure where yet, but it will be a road trip. Looking forward to both!
Eagerly awaiting the arrival of our Rainbow Baby after 2 early m/c.
We are going to head up to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor Maine sometime before baby comes. It is where DH proposed and a baby moon is a perfect reason to go back! Plus the spa has wonderful massages and a good pregnancy massage would be fabulous!
We did a baby moon the first time around and I loved it! We did a week in the Bahamas. This time I guess it will be a family-moon maybe??? We're taking DD with us, we are considering going to Puerto Rico in May.
We're in the same boat. We are taking DD with us, I guess this will be our last vacation with just the 3 of us. DD is so used to get all of the attention so this can be something special just for her.
DH and I already had the bones of a plan in place when we got our BPF.. his Dad has a 40 foot sail boat and sails from Florida to the Bahamas every summer. We're gonna meet up sometime in late June/early July and sail for a week or so. Even though I won't get to sample all the delicious rum, it will still be a great trip!
No but we live in a vacation destination so there's no real need, to get away, we can just drive 20 min to be at the beach. E did have Cruise planned before I got pregnant, in fact I was hoping we would have to cancel due to being pregnant sooner, but I guess I got lucky and got pregnant right in the window of where I can still travel on a cruise ship and make this cruise.
We didn't really take a baby moon first time around, but we did go to NYC for a weekend and Cape Cod for a weekend between the time I was 6-8 months pregnant. I'm not sure if we will or not, we just went to Bermuda in November 2013 and we are going to AZ next month on a trip that was planned pre-baby #2. When H graduates from Law school next year (2015) we are taking a 5 year anniversary/graduation trip to Hawaii and possibly London as well.

We are currently in Seattle on a long 4 day weekend. Its been SO nice. In may we are headed to Hawaii and over the summer well probably do a road trip or two to anchorage, AK because that's where the better shopping is at! We currently live in North Pole, AK
I'm jealous! I really want to do a babymoon but it seems like we have quite a few destination weddings to attend this summer so I don't know if it's in the cards. Probably if I just plan something DH will get on board, but I want him to be excited about it too!
We do love to travel and I like going on little trips over our anniversary (in August), but we'll be moving this year when my husband switches jobs...we don't know where yet... So that is going to be enough of an adventure in and of itself. Depending on where we end up perhaps we can get away for a long weekend or something, even to stay in a lodge and go hiking. Really don't know what life is going to look like come August though so no way to plan anything!
@rooneyk, I have been on 3 cruises and I definitely think you'd enjoy it! We were actually going to do that but I wanted to bring DD so it didn't seem like a good idea for us (we would have to be quiet in our room at 730 when she went down for bed). For motion sickness, they make sea bands you can wear to help, although I never feel the ship moving unless there's a storm passing through. Keep in mind most lines do not allow you to sail after 24 weeks.

We were planning on going on a delayed honeymoon in July to Antigua, but we are canceling for now and will reschedule for a time when I can drink and enjoy it more. We are going to go to a spa for a couple of days, probably around May.
ashie0610- I live it Charleston, great city. Can't go wrong with Savannah either. It's only an hour and a half from here, so I've been there quite a few times as well.
We went to Barcelona and Zurich right when we started TTC DD. We went on our first vacation as a family of three to Turks and Caicos in November. I'm hoping to spend a couple nights away with DH before the new baby comes. I agree with PP. It's much easier to get someone to watch one child.
We booked Cabo a couple weeks before I found out I was pregnant. It's in August and I'm the matron of honor in my best friends wedding. I'll be 30 weeks pregnant so I'm super, super nervous about flying. I've done some research online but will be definitely talking to my doctor about the trip.
@ashie0610 We've been to Charleston & Savannah on business /vacay. Both are charming & beautiful. They are also close so you may be able to visit both. If only one is feasible, I would go to Charleston. It's not like any place I've been!
Eat some pralines while you are in the south. So delish!

Ohh I'm jealous! My family lives in Portland but we've never been to Acadia/Bar Harbor. We had a CA/NE cruise scheduled in August that visited Bar Harbor but we had to cancel because of the pregnancy. I'm sad we will be missing it but we will just have to take baby up there sometime!!
We already had a trip to Basilicata, Italy planned in June that I'm very, very excited about. It's supposed to be beautiful and it's not very touristy so it wasn't too expensive. It's partly our anniversary present to ourselves and partly a babymoon. When we were planning we figured it would either be a babymoon or something to lift our spirits if we hadn't conceived. We're also going to Astoria on the Oregon Coast at the end of March for a long weekend.
@mer313131, I'll PM you at the end of the week with suggestions. I've come to the island many times, but this is the first with a kiddo intow. Talk soon!

We are SOOO planning a baby moon! My husband and I love to travel and are thinking of going to Maine or maybe Alaska durning my second trimester. It is important to get away before that baby comes.
We talked about going to see my husband's family in Greece in late August/early September. That's not going to happen now. So far our only trip planned is about a week in Chicago towards the end of June for a friend's wedding. Any trip would have to be toddler-friendly anyway because I don't think either of us would be prepared to leave our daughter with relatives yet! Grazing my way through a cruise does sound amazing though.
We are trying to plan a Babymoon for next month! We are beach people and plan to go out of the country. We love visiting new places but we are setting a budget which will ultimately dictate where we go. If something changes and we stay in the US I thought about Charleston or Naples, FL. Anyone have suggestions?
