Someone brought in a plate of brownies yesterday and put them in the lounge, because another teacher had a birthday this week. I definitely had more than my share yesterday, and now as I'm sitting here next to the last brownie on the plate, I'm not sure I'll be able to refrain from polishing it off....
And birthday girl is a nun... am I going to hell now?
I have to text myself my UO, FFFC etc, when I'm thinking of them, otherwise I forget.
I just had the "2 to go" Milky Way bar for breakfast. Reading the package it says "Twist to close --> Save one for later" ... I definitely did not save one for later. Whoops.
I went and got myself Taco Bell for dinner. It was gym night for DH, so he usually comes home and has something high in protein for dinner. I felt (_) <~~ this bad about it when I realized he was home before I was, so I pulled a u-turn, went and ate my Taco Bell in peace, and destroyed the evidence.
I don't wash my legs anymore, much less shave them. I fill up my loofah with soap, put it on my thighs, and squeeze the soap out, hoping that it washes them as it runs down my leg. O_O
Since these are food related today, I ate like nothing substantial yesterday. We had a funeral to go to and went back to DH's dad's house where I ate a ton of chips and dip, some cookies, and some pound cake. And let's not forget the Kit-Kats and M&M bar I had right before I came. Yikes!
Here's mine- I don't think I've picked up dog poop when walking my dogs almost this entire pregnancy. I made a solid effort. In the beginning, it was because I would vomit everytime I came anywhere near it. I figured no one wanted puke in the park by our house on top of the poop. Now it's because I can't bend over to get it.
I got a box of pop em's donut holes and a kiddie chocolate milk this morning. I plan on eating them all myself and totally not sharing. Happy valentines day to me!
I only like valentines for the chocolate. And I rather get it tomorrow.
We are moving at the end of hte school year, and I don't want to tell my students they won't have me for algebra 2.
My mom is my friend on Facebook, but more often than not I just want to block her. She posts on everything I post, even if she has no clue what's going on. Example: #tbt was the Team Rocket poem, and she wrote an interrobang instead of a comment. Her photography sucks, her statuses are always AW, and she uses Bitstrips way more than should be considered healthy.
My new OB delivers at a hospital that has very strict visiting policies. DH's hours are 10-10. Grandparents and baby's siblings are 2-4. Everyone else is 7:30-8:30. Babies must be in the nursery during open visiting hours.
My confession is that I love that MIL can't just come up with her whole entourage (she never goes anywhere alone. We invite her over for dinner and she brings at least two extra people. Every.Time.) whenever she damn well pleases....and I haven't had the pleasure of telling her yet. Andplusalso my mother will be there first because she's my mom and that's how it's going to go. MIL isn't going to be happy.
okay okay, not a food confession-a small, and I mean, small part of me would like to end up with a c-section. Like, I'm not totally freaked out about the possibility of baby girl being breech and having a scheduled section. Maybe I'm just that much of a control freak and I need to know when I'm going to have her, but the thought of having it planned and scheduled makes me less anxious about the whole having a baby thing.
I am tired of people posting about the little imperfections this pregnancy is causing them. Veins, weird tummies, stretch marks-get over it! You are growing a human being-that takes a toll on your body. Crying at a vein or a stretch mark (which btw, can't be prevented-it's genetic) at this point makes me stabby. Especially since we have members here going to L&D for possible preterm delivery and other issues. And as far as weight gain goes-it took you 9 months to put on this weight, it will take a while to lose it-but it can happen. We are all going through the same thing-some of our bodies show no other signs of pregnancy other than a bump, other people have battle scars. Wear them proudly-YOU GREW A HUMAN.
H has always peed in the shower. I never understood it because there's a toilet right next to the damn tub. FFFC: Recently I went to the bathroom, then got in the shower. About two minutes later I had to pee because pregnancy, you know? I peed in the shower. I now regularly pee in the shower because for some strange reason, I like it.

Sorrynotsorry.
glad i'm not the only one that rolls my eyes every time my mom posts on FB. she is always posting recipes (she rarely cooks) and all other sorts of nonsense. then she tags me in the dumbest things.
put the phone down mom and do something productive!

I "hid" my mom on facebook a long time ago-i also hid all my posts so she can't see them. Otherwise she would comment on EVERYTHING and it would be totally random and weird. She "shares" almost everything she sees. She also uploads pictures from her phone constantly of the most random crap, it drives me crazy.
I don't want to read any more food confessions. You're pregnant. Congrats on your weird eating habits. Plus they make me hungry.
I am sort of hoping this baby is born somewhere between 7 and 10 days after it's due so that DH won't have to leave right after it's born to go to a wedding (his brother's) to which DD is not invited. He'll be allowed to skip the wedding if the baby isn't born yet or if we haven't been sent home from the hospital or if I have a c-section, right? Ugh, probably not.
Your daughter isn't invited to her uncle's wedding? Wow. I've never understood fancy schmancy no kid weddings. I guess I'm not fancy enough. One of my favorite parts of my wedding was our flower girl (hubs 5 year old cousin) and ring guy (my nephew - 6) helping our friend's 1 year old walk down the aisle. (His mama was one of my bridesmaids). Here's hoping on baby being a bit late!

Dd has been to 5 weddings and was the flower girl in 2. I love taking her to weddings. She owns the dance floor. And then I have a great excuse to leave early!
I'm kind of annoyed by how much the media is focusing on Russia's anti-gay policies during their Winter Olympic coverage.
Wait, put down the pitchforks.
I am all for equal rights for all people. It's just that 1.) I think it's weird that we're pretending that Russia is the worst nation on earth when it comes to gay rights. Let me introduce you to Uganda, FFS. 2.) Human rights are a serious and important issue. Which is why I think it's weird that when the Olympics were in Beijing, I didn't hear shit about their fucked up policies. 3.) Gay marriage isn't even legal in this country! Maybe we should get off our high horse?

I totally agree with this. I'm not going to voluntarily have a c-section because I hear the recovery is awful and part of me wants to experience natural labor but the planner part of me wouldn't be totally disappointed with a c-section. I also know by the end I'm going to be like get this baby out of me so I'm more terrified of being a week late and begging to be induced and they won't do it.
Oh and DH doesn't really believe in Valentine's Day but said we'll go out tomorrow night. I got no card, nothing. And a phone call from him this morning not to wish me a Happy Valentine's Day but to tell me he thinks he lost his wedding ring shoveling snow. So I may have to treat myself to some v-day candy and hide it from him. Okay that was more of a vent...

Yup. To all of this except the Bitstrips, because she wouldn't be able to figure that out. I'm tired of the "My kids are my life..." memes and stuff. They remind me of Hallmark cards that someone was too lazy to send.
My DH files my feet for me. He did before I was pregnant, too. I finally worked up the nerve to tell one of my best friends, and she said her husband does it for her, too. I don't like feet at all, so if he's willing to do a foot chore, I'll let him.
Sorry it's gross. (But not sorry at all because my feet are smooth and ready for flip flops.)
My FFFC is that I don't think Valentines day is stupid at all. Yes, I agree that you should show your love for your SO everyday throughout the year, but is that really realistic? We get into such a groove with our spouses sometimes that occasionally it feels like we're more like roommates then partners. So what's so damn wrong with a day that is meant to stop you and remind you why you love your person?!
Besides, who doesn't like a great excuse to eat chocolate and candy?
I ate crackers in bed last night! Flame if you will. And there were crumbs. But better than puking right?
I'll flame you for thinking this is flame-able. DH and I ate T-Bell in bed last night and in fact, lately I eat in bed a lot due to my back pain and needing to heat and ice it constantly...

Every morning I eat Nilla Wafers in bed. DH always wonders how the crumbs get over to his side. I tell him I like to share. Eat away!
I think it's the most absurd thing ever that I'd be expected to find a babysitter 3,000 miles away from home and not have her come to the ceremony (she is apparently allowed at the reception, just not the ceremony) if I were able to go. It's not even fancy. It's a "civil union" ceremony at a Unitarian church. But DH asked and MIL and BIL specifically said no children at the ceremony, so now at least he doesn't have to feel bad for not taking her with him (logistically it would be hard because he'd have zero help with her and he's the best man, but he would have done it because it was important to him). Because apparently they don't want her there, so that settled that.
I'm not okay with any of this. If you invite a family member, you invite the family. I'm also confused why they would not want kids at the ceremony, but the reception is okay. You're telling me that for 15-30 mins of your ceremony, that a baby isn't invited, but the 3+ hours of reception, it's all good? People have weird wedding rules.

Seriously seriously seriously, especially the bolded part.
How come China got a free pass and Russia is sooooooo awful? I found it disturbing how silent the media was about China.
1. I wish I booked my next app't for 3 weeks instead of 2. I was given the option.
The reason I chose 2 weeks is I was hoping our district supervisors were coming that week for our subject area. It turns out they won't be there until the 28th and my app't is the 21st. All my appts will be every 2 weeks so this messes up my plan to miss them. I feel that they're not the most productive meetings.
2. I compare myself to others due around the same time as me. There are a few that I look better pregnant than they do. I know I am being judgmental, but still...

Shes a baby. She won't eat their food or take a seat. Therefore they shouldn't care! I totally agree with you!
@ErBear1010 thank you for posting that. I was one of those yesterday as I was having an emotional day. Today I feel silly for it. I needed that slap in the face!
I guess my FFFC is that we had a child-free wedding. One side of the family (... not mine ...) is not so big on parenting things like "discipline" and "teaching your child manners" and "paying the remotest bit of attention to your 500 children once the bar opens up" and I was honestly terrified of how that would turn out. We couldn't very well only allow children from one side of the family. Luckily, there were only one or two young children on my family's side, and we offered to make childcare arrangements and/or pay for theirs. So I guess my point is, sometimes it's not about your kid.
I haven't seen some of DHs family since September. When a cousin (more like a SIL in terms of closeness) hinted that shed like to visit, we told her she was welcome but she could only bring one of her (almost 5yo) triplets at a time. We didn't specify which, just that she would need to severely limit the entourage.
I feel awful about it, but she doesn't always mind them closely and while I'm usually up to helping keep them out of trouble- our house is seriously not mobile-kid friendly at the moment and I'm not allowed out of bed to chase down rogue kiddos.
And this means she probably won't come visit. Which makes me a little sad (she's an awesome person that I love to be around) but not sad enough to let her bring the whole family over.

We also had a child-free wedding (well, the youngest kid there was 13). Since about half of our guests had to travel out of state, we provided a baby sitting service though. Seriously, it's nice to have kid-free events sometimes. I don't see a problem with it at all.

We're not big on Valentine's Day either, but I can totally get behind this line of thought!
My FFFC: DH is OOT, and I don't feel like snow blowing the several inches we got in the last 24 hours. So instead of using our self-propelled snow blower, I'm calling the local plow guy to come by for an estimate and have him do it.
