LAST UPDATE# 4 - Ultrasound disaster :/

So I went in this morning for what should've been my 8 week US and instead of 1 embryo, the dr and I saw 2!!! DH and I were very excited, but they look like they are at 6 weeks and not 8.....they were just too small circles and no heartbeat...

I am so worried....the dr asked me to go back in 1 week to check again....he said they should've been a lot bigger at this stage.,...I am so scared!!!

Please send me good vibes and keep me in your prayers...I am just hoping that they are a bit late on developing and that all is going to be ok

Does anyone know if this happens or is even possible to continue as a healthy pregnancy?!

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to updated you all....I am hanging in there, waiting for my US tomorrow!!!

I am hopeful but so scared.....my symptoms have disappeared, besides a nasty cold with a horrible cough....

I really hope my babies have grown by tomorrow and we actually get to see heartbeats!!!

ok so here's the UPDATE:

Just had my appt and there WAS a heartbeat....2 babies still, but we could locate and hear only 1 heartbeat....the doc said it's a good sign...but somehow they are really tiny and I am measuring more like 3 weeks behind?!?!

I don't care how behind I am measuring, as long as there's a heartbeat!!!

He also said the HB was low...only 90bpm (I've seen low HBs turn into normal later on here in the forum so I am less worried), but I am going back next Friday for another check!!!....

so thank you all for the support and FX this week.....here's to hoping next Friday I can give you more good news and 2 healthy HBs :-)

I have to same issue but with one baby. Was spotting at work so I went to the doc. I thought I was around 8 weeks from my lmp. She checked me and said my uterus is closed but ordered an ultrasound and that said I was only measuring 5 w and 5d could I really be that off when I had a positive pregnancy test on jan 18th? I'm so confused and so alone I am trying to prepare myself for the worst and all everyone keeps telling me is everything will be ok but nobody knows that. After the ultrasound they drew my blood for a quant test I got the result yesterday and my numbers were high for 5w 5d and low for 8 weeks. Is that supposed to give me a little hope?

@adownes I would say there's hope. I've heard of babies starting to grow slower and then catching up. I am the same way after my u/s measured me a week to a week and a half behind. Hb was fast for what it measured though. My 13 week appointment can't come fast enough.

Adownes...I'm sorry to hear that we are in the same boat...I've been going through positive moments and then sadness....it's an emotional ride, but in the end we have to believe that what's meant to happen will happen...hang in there...everything will be ok

UPDATE # 3 - just got home from the ER.....I had a horrible weekend...Friday eve I started spotting....nothing serious...until Saturday night when I started really losing a lot of blood....my dr gave me a shot of progesterone, and that worked a little....but then Sunday I kept bleeding bright red, period like, and had tons of killer cramps.

So he told me to be prepared for the worst and go into the ER this morning. I went with DH, and low and behold, my baby is still there, with his poor little heart beating (always slower than normal), and baby#2 is still there but no HB...the doc said #2 is really looking like it's stopped developing.

I have no idea where all that blood came from and I am shocked that my baby is still in there....he gave me more shots, then back to the prog. suppositories...and 1 week bed rest....

I still go back on Friday morning for a check!!!!!!!
