Corn rows. Just no. I think they look awful and gross on anyone. Almost every summer from age 5 to 14 my mom had me get corn rows. I hated them. They'd be in all damn summer too. Even when I'd wash my hair, after taking them out, there'd still be sand and other nastiness still left in there from over the summer. Plus, they'd be so tight and painful and it felt like my scalp was being pulled off. So maybe this is the trauma talking but just no. I don't like em.
I think Donald Duck is an asshole on MMC. I would be happy if he walked off into the sunset one episode and never returned. You know because killing off a character on Disney is frowned upon.

What? Why did she do that to you? I'm now trying to picture a young jensavicci with corn rows...

Awww, I think cornrows can be cute on little girls! My grandmother did them a lot for me when I was younger and since I was "tender headed" it was nice not to have to worry about getting my hair done every morning before school. I would just switch out barrettes.
Sounds like you had a series of bad experiences with them so I get it.
And I can't decide where else this belongs that will get as many views, but everyone can stop beginning their thread with "I tried to search first but couldn't find other posts." We got it and trust that you are doing your due diligence. If you didn't someone will let you know your search skills are subpar.

Don't. I didn't even look like my self! Picture a rotund pale kid with auburn corn rows, glasses and acne all over their face. That was me
Her reasoning was that this was a way to have my hair grow in without her having to do it all summer. Except washing it.
Maybe this stems from my own insecurities in that I would never have the guts to do it (and I am by no means a prude), but I don't really love naked bump photos.
Once my mom showed me a picture of her pregnant with me. It was a bump photo but she was in her bra and underwear. What was seen can never be unseen. I'm scarred for life.
Personally I'm not a fan of those types of photos either. Nms but whatever to others. As long as it isn't my mom.

This is SCREAMING for a throwback Thursday post. I was planning to start one today but I'm at home on my ipad and not entirely sure of the coding for images.

Oo...I was wanting to do one of these recently. Maybe we should make it be Throwback Thursday, wtf was ... thinking when they dressed me/I got dressed?
ETA: to add that I feel like a PW though...so someone else should start it :P

Haha "tender headed". But, what I do think is cute is regular braids. You know, where you don't have to see rows of scalp haha. I think those are really cute. Especially with little flowers!
ETA: @aliletz lol NEVER! I refuse to publicly post that. REFUSE.
Subway is NOT healthy and I can't believe they have Olympic atheletes promoting that garbage. It's all bread and sodium laden deli meats and that shit ain't fresh!
Gross, Subway.

Do you all feel the same way about Bump bikini photos? Because I think those are cute as can be.
My UO is I am really upset at the NFL ( sorry, huge football fan here) making a big deal of the "first openly gay athlete" He is NO DIFFERENT than any other athletes, why do they feel the need to discuss this every day? I am so proud of him that he came out, but it should be dropped after that- there is nothing left to discuss day in and day out, and if he doesn't get drafted because of this then the NFL can go die in a fire. Wake up its 2014 ya bag of dicks
I hate hate hate pregnancy dreams! I think I am traumatized for life after dreaming that my parents (in their current, 70 year old state) were sex feinds and I walked in on them doing it all over the house I grew up in. In crazy how-the-hell-does-that-work positions. Cannot get it out of my brain! That was just last night's. They have all been equally traumatizing in various ways.
But it doesn't need to be beaten to death in the media.
And that is exactly what is happening! Yesterday on NFL AM all they talked about was his draft position, what other players are saying about this, will he be treated differently in the locker room, etc etc.. I know its off season and there is not much to discuss but come on.... Even his dad is now talking to media. Enoughhhh

I agree. I'm even a Mizzou fan which makes this even more interesting for me. DH is a huge fan and even he is getting a little tired of hearing about it.
I think it's WONDERFUL that he came out and that he received so much support from his team last year. Just by looking at his numbers and how much HIGHER they were this year after coming out, you can tell it was a giant relief to finally be himself.
But it doesn't need to be beaten to death in the media.
I sort of agree. I think it's important for them to cover it in the beginning. Young gay athletes need someone to look up to, and society in general needs to see, "This is where we are now." But at some point, it does need to stop being about his sexuality and just be about his skills and talent.

I feel ya. It's a major thing, but doesn't need to be beat into every news cast (which is how I felt it came across these recent days). But as a person who is bisexual (sorry for the TMI on my orientation), and struggled often in a small town/gay bashing community, I think it's wonderful to have a gay athlete in such a "tough guy" sport. My husband and his college roommate were both on the football team, and the roommate is gay and struggled with acceptance from the team. I think it's a great thing for kids to hear that you can be gay, and still be an awesome, cool football player. Sorry for the novel

I'll second this one. I'm not even 1/2 done and I'm sick of weird dreams, too. Mine all seem to be centered around abandoning either DD or this new LO. They're always very traumatic and I wake up feeling like the worst mama in the world. I'm no dream-interpreter, but it seems I might have some kind of deeply-hidden fear of transitioning to 2 children. :-/
At least I'm not having strange sex dreams... I feel for you girls that are. X_X
I kinda lie the idea's of doing tastefully done half naked/boudoir bump photos but they would be for my own/DH's doings not for everyone else and i really mean they have to be tastefully done.
second i really hate when people don't mind their business better yet when they don't know what the difference between friends having fun and drunk people are like... Last week we were going through the Mcdonalds drive thru and i pulled up did my order then pulled up to my back window for friends in the back to send in their order well i pull up t the window and pay then the chick goes to me "are you drinking and driving because i am obligated" i stopped her befre she could finish but she was saing it in a nasty voice i looked at her and said honey i'm 16weeks pregnant learn how to have fun. then she said the car behind us complained and said we were drunk. I so wanted to pull up stop get out of the car and tell them to loosen up learn how to have fun and don't make an assumption and to mind their own dame business.. I was 16 weeks preganant and my bff was sitting right next to me and she was 7 weeks pregnant lmao!
HOW? WHY? Did you see the interview she recently did with her twins? I think she needs to get a real job and stop whoring her kids out to make a buck.
Haha yes - I did see it. I just do. NOT saying I agree with every single decision ever made or whatever. I just don't think she is the monster everyone does. I mean, I don't care enough about it to fight over, whatever. As for the interview - I think it was fine - the one was super shy and the other appeared to enjoy it - and they LIT up when asked about doing another show. They must like it. I agree though - we are over you, time to get a real job. Still like her.
I feel like I'm gonna get burned at the stake for this but, Ryan Reynolds, Ryan gosling and Jake Gyllenhaal are averagely attractive. Not nearly as cute as people make them out to be. They're meh material
