In response to @Jbosarge85 and @LiteraChick (I'm having quote issues today):

A friend of mine posted that pro-life abortion video, too.  It started playing and when I tried to stop it I just opened it bigger.  I "hid" that friend and immediately started bawling.  I thought I might throw up.  Poor DH just kept patting my hair and saying, "It's OK... the baby is just fine... our baby is perfect."  It was not a pretty morning.

I don't care how strong your opinion is on that issue, IMO it is never appropriate to post something like that where people can't avoid it (and I wish FB wouldn't just start the vidoes).  At least post a "warning" or link it to your page so one could choose to go view it.  Ruined my day.  X_X

I'm sorry you girls had to experience this, too.  :(

ETA: I'm apparently having word issues today, too.

I liked your post then realized I probably should explain. I like the bolded. I DON'T like that you had to see that.
Thanks for explaining, but I would've given you the benefit of the doubt on this one.  ;)  No one should have to see that..........  :(

Today I wandered over to the March 2014 board to see what's in the cards for the end of pregnancy. I was surprised at how many special snowflakes they had over there! I just assumed that they would be weeded out by then. And if our snowflakes think we're tough they clearly have never messed with women that are 35+ weeks pregnant.

K, kind of obsessed with their HDBD thread. I cannot believe I am going to look like that. I'm part excited and part terrified. How do they like.... walk around and get off the couch and roll out of bed?
Yea...i can barely get out of bed now. It's probably really funny to watch me try to disentangle myself from the snoogle and get up.

  • I got in a car accident Monday. A stupid woman not paying any attention pulled out of a gas station into oncoming traffic and I couldn't stop and slammed into her. I'm fine, my passengers are fine and baby is totally fine.

What I'm upset about is my car is damaged. I have a hole in my formerly perfect bumper, my hood is dented and my headlight is busted. I cried when I saw the damage. I know I have to go through the claim process but I want it fixed like yesterday.

I will add that the addition of the babies to the HDBD board is adorable and amazing. We have to do that!

I just went back to look at that... SO CUTE!  I want to hold ALL THE BABIES!!! I've had a borderline creepy urge to hold all babies since I've been pregnant.  Like when I'm out in public at a restaurant and I see complete strangers with a baby, I have to fight the urge to ask if I can hold it.  I don't know anybody locally with a baby that I can hold to get a baby fix!

  • i'm really just a lurker because i can't get on here that often, but i love this thread!

and because DH wouldn't laugh enough with me, i have to share that at my appointment yesterday, a random older lady came in with the doc-- he introduced her by name, but didn't give details, NBD. she did the Doppler... and found my heartbeat... and smiled and cleaned me up. it was so hard not to grab the thing and show her what she was really looking for!!

I just set the table for dinner and my son, for some god awful reason, went around and licked each plate. I only had one clean one left so I only changed mine! Omg I'm terrible.

I read this as YOU went around and licked the plates, and I couldn't figure out why you would do that!

    Also I'm loving this thread.

Ha! I did the same thing. I was thinking, why would she DO that?!?

That's EXACTLY what I thought it said, and I was about to comment on the world's worst case of baby brain.  Glad it's not just me!

  • My third graders (who are usually WONDERFUL) decided today that Math was optional.  So as I worked through the lesson with them, every question I asked, I got 30 blank stares.  Like scary zombie stares.  I don't know where my darling and enthusiastic class went, but I would like them back....because I was so close to going ape-shit-psycho-pregnant-lady on them today, and I'm pretty sure that's not ok.

    Long day.

  • @literachick finding out on Friday if baby cooperates! I've been thirsty for all things tart; pink lemonade, sparkling cranberry juice... I'm suspecting boy, but we shall see!

Made DH stop at trader joes on the way home under the pretense of "dinner." Now I have cookie butter, sparkling pink lemonade and a bucket of cookies. He has good beer. We are all happy here.
@missquela - I am OBSESSED with pink lemonade these day! My ravenous cravings have died down a bit, but that one is still going strong. I suspect it's due to my carrying a boy, what are you having?

@LiteraChick, I want lemonade all the time too! (Another thing that made me doubt my intuition about carrying a girl). It seems like everyone I know that craved these things had a boy! I guess my girl is already rebelling against "gender roles"! ;-)

  • Hubs works outside and I went out w/him to clean off the car this morning but it's already up to my knees & there was no chance of him making it out of our parking lot...so his ever helpful job came and picked him up. I'm going to wind up worring all day over whether he's warm/dry/safe.
Ugh. My husband always has to go in when there's bad weather even though there's no real need for him to. It makes me so nervous to have him out driving.
