    Eta: I guess this is why I've been carrying a seatbelt cutting tool in the glovebox all these years?

    Holy crap...that's scary.  I don't know if any infant models are affected, but if they're not you might want to mention that.  I have the Snugride Click Connect and both and that classic connect are not affected.

    They didn't mention any of the snug ride models in that article.

    It's definitely not the most informative of articles! It says Graco is refusing to recall 7 infant models so that doesn't sound too comforting.

    That scared me for a moment. Just got my carseat and would worry about time to get another! We have the Snugride classic connect.

    My mom texted me earlier about it all in a panic. It felt pretty good to tell her that I already knew about it, that the baby's car seat wasn't in the recall, and that I had already checked everything out. As dearly as I love her, she tends to overreact so it was nice to cut it off at the start for once.

    Well crap. This made me feel like our snug ride is just waiting for a recall. NOT good for my anxiety, graco!
