so anytime I'm at work it's hard to breathe and it feels like 100 degrees in the building. When I get home from work it feels like my lower back isn't even a part of the rest of my body and I struggle walking and getting up from sitting down/lying down. I'm a supervisor for Panera Bread so I'm typically on my feet for 8 hours 5 days a week with the weekend off. I've talked to my doctor about my discomfort and they just tell me it's normal. This past week I also found out I have a yeast and a bacterial infection (again doctor didn't seem too concerned, told me not to work that day or the next but I could return to work the day after), almost done with the antibiotics but it makes me wonder if the infections are from being overworked and if I just keep working am I putting my daughter at risk.
Re: Doc hasn't put me on bedrest yet but I feel like I'm dying
I'm 37 weeks today and for the past month, I feel like I'm dying if I make an extended trip to the grocery store so i can only imagine how you feel. If possible, try to slow down to a pace that you're comfortable with. Sure, aches and pains are normal during pregnancy but if you can avoid it, do!
I hope you're feeling better soon :-)
I worked retail for most of my first pregnancy and spent just as much time on my feet. Yes it was hard, but you have to find ways to accommodate your discomfort. I don't know exactly what your job entails, but finding a stool to sit on or spread out the time you take for breaks/lunches so that you can take a few min to sit and relax. If there is a manager above you that you work with, talk to them. Then, on days off, obviously do as little as possible and relax...Besides that, there isn't much advice I can give.
