ETA: First things first, to center you siggy you need to click the "show source" button that looks like <>. Then type <p style="text-align: center;"> at the very beginning and </p> at the very end.

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. In my profile my picture shows up as my avatar, but when I post it shows up as flowers. I'm not sure why I seem to be the only one here who can't figure it out :-/

@sjb2419 When you change your avatar it can take up to an hour for it to show the change on the forums. Did you just change it recently?

Thanks @EllyD14! I have been struggling too this afternoon. I can't get anything to center and when I tried to add a ticker, it was not showing. I will try your suggestions.

I can't get my signature to change. My son is 1 now, and I want to add the new baby. What am I doing wrong? I've tried 10 times to fix it!

@strawberriquen They changed where you have to go to change your siggy. Up in the right hand corner under the brown banner there are four icons. The last one says account options, then preferences, click that. The page it brings you to there will be a column of options on the left. Select the one that says signature settings.

You need the code with the carrots <> not the brackets []. Also, you'll need to click the show source button that looks like this <> then paste the code, then click the <> button again. The ticker should show up in the text box correctly before you save it.

After reading the names thread I'm bumping this back up.

If you want anyone to remember who you are you need to have an avatar and a siggy that's more than just a million tickers. Also, having lots of tickers is just annoying, don't do it.

So here I am. Ask away!

You don't need to test. If you look at any of your old posts it will show your current siggy.

I'm having a hard time getting a GIF in mine.

i want to add a photo. it is saved in my computer but i also uploaded it to photobucket so i could get a URL/HTML. i have no idea which to use or how to make sure it's posted and centered above my tickers. i clicked on the insert image button and tried both url and html but nothing happened so i did not save.

You need the url. Copy the link and paste it in to the text box that pops up when you click the insert image button.

thanks for the reply but i'm still not having any luck. i clicked insert image and pasted the url into the text box and hit submit. the text box disappeared and a flashing curser started blinking in my signature box but no pic appeared even after hitting save. unless you have any more suggestions, i'll just be pictureless.

Bumping this back up because a lot of you still have generic avatars and I've seen a lot of screwed up and non-existent siggies today. Fix that shit!

Elly, if you want to add some stuff in there to make it more comprehensive just let me know and I'll insert it into the main post.

True. But I'm trying to encourage people to actually add a siggy and avatar. There are a lot of stickies up there right now and they easily get overlooked. Not like anything is going on this evening so I figured I may as well bump this up while I'm bored.
