I've been staying with my mom since FI is gone, which means a 30-40 minute drive to work. Every single morning, something has made me cry.
Monday? The song "Johnny and June"
Tuesday? Some country song that I can't even remember
Today? Everything. I was absolutely hysterical.
My hormones have got to chill. We had an incident with a service member's family yesterday and his commanding officer came in to the office, telling me in detail. Of course, I started crying (any human would) and I had to go get someone else.
All of our service members are OOT for the holidays and our subcontractors are not working. So why in the hell are we at work? Wait..let me rephrase that, why are 2 people (myself included) at work? All of the big wigs are OOT and there isn't anyone here to let us leave early, so we're stuck until 5. Family oriented company my asss!!!
With that said, I'm really thankful and blessed that I am surrounded by such a wonderful family and I'm looking forward to spending tomorrow with them. Merry Christmas ya'll!
Re: These long drives to work in the a.m. make me a big fat mess
No I haven't, I'll have to go find it online. I've always loved Hootie and the Blowfish and am loving his new country stuff.
I know what you mean - my commute is 30 mins each way, and lately I've teared up when hearing Christmas songs.. It's silly.. and my DH thinks it's hilarious..
My grandparents used to live in Opelika!! I visited there all the time, I love it there.
No, I work on Ft. Rucker, which is about 2 hours south of Opelika.
Yeah I drive an hour and 15 min each way. My main problem is the swelling. My ankles just started to swell and it's stinks.?

But about that song, we were leaving the U/S just found out we were having a girl, and heard the song for the first time. I think my hubby cried just a little.. it was so adorable. ?
