I was just wondering for FTMs are you planning on celebrating Mother's day even if your baby hasn't arrived yet? My due date is so close to mother's day I know it could go either way and personally I feel like a mother but I know a lot of men who would disagree. I just figure by that time if my baby isn't born we'll be celebrating no matter what because I'd be so huge and grumpy my husband wouldn't dare cross me!

Honestly holding Brooke would be a great Mother's Day gift, but it would be nice if my husband just did a little something, even if it was getting me a card.

Oh well! No big deal. I normally see my Mom at my grandparents house on Mother's Day so I figure my DH will spend some time with his Mom while I'm with mine. I'm not worrying about myself this year. It would have been cool though.

You should definitely celebrate! And if you don't think DH will think of it, TELL HIM! When I was PG with DS, my DH didn't even mention Mother's Day. I was really hurt. Even his mom and sister got me Mother's Day cards. To be honest a little part of me (admitingly irrationally) still resents that Mother's Day. I think sometimes men aren't as sentimenal about these things as we are - make sure your DH spoils you!
But I'm not bitter about it, or anything.....
His mom died a few months before our wedding, unexpectedly. I try not to bring it up. He's just a douche , so i deal. Meh.

I'm not expecting anything this year. He doesn't understand this sort of thing.
My due date for her was 25/05... so she surprised us by coming early. I remember waiting a long time for my husband to come back on the sunday... and it turns out he was buying a small mothers day gift. Totally unexpected. I was just so happy to have her safe and sound on the outside with only minor issues (weight and jaundice).
This time I'm due May 12-15 (conflicting dates) so we'll see if LO will be here or not.
