We woke up over an hour early today and it made such a difference in getting dd1 ready for school and out the door. And now dd2 is napping! In the morning! It's been months since she did that.
We took the day off from work to spend it with Sawyer before we went out tonight. He has been super precious all day and keeps coming up and giving hugs and kisses. It melts my heart and makes me want to stay home!
We had quite the morning with Wesley this Morning in the hour between him waking up and leaving for daycare we went through 3 outfits. He peed through his first outfit, then decided he needed to take a bath in the dog water while I got his breakfast ready. it took me less than two minutes to get his breakfast he was soaking wet so on to out fit number 3 where he decided right before we walked out the door to sit in the water dish so he finally went to daycare with outfit number 4. I took two extra outfits with him to daycare today, just in case. Now I have to do laundry so my kid has more clothes for tomorrow. Can't wait for his 15 month check up today, should be fun!
Just got home from lunch at cheesecake factory for lunch with my girlfriend. I felt like I couldn't finish a sentence or carry on a conversation because Emma was all over the place, I felt bad.
MrsG!! I haven't seen you lately, nice to have you back!
I'm temped to leave work early to pick up my little snot-nose from daycare. She doesn't have a fever but the poor thing has snot pouring out of her like crazy. How can so much snot ooze out of one child?? Anyway, I don't want to be THAT mom that leaves early for every tiny sickness, but I don't want to be THAT mom that lets her kid get all the other kids sick at daycare. What to do, what to do?

I did this last week with a former co-worker. I felt awful that she didn't have my attention most of the time but when I talked to her a few days later she told me how great it was to have lunch with me and LO. She enjoyed every minute of it.
It'll be almost June when she arrives (assuming no early labor), so it should be warm enough to pull this off...just the frilly top and leggings with some matching socks.
The hospital takes a picture of newborns for their website, which I didn't know when we had Henry. I put basically zero thought into his coming home outfit, so I figured I'd pick something cute for this little one.
My husband doesn't seem to believe me when I say I could not give two shits if people think this baby is a boy. Why would that bother me? I don't care. They are clearly strangers if they don't know the sex of my baby by now. He insists I'll get tired of correcting people.
I'm really sad because my husband's best friends wife basically just ended their marriage via text message. She asked him to move out in the beginning of December saying she needed to think about things and wasnt happy in their marriage (never gave real reasons just not happy). She had been distant and acting weird since he left and tonight when he texted her that he missed her she replied that it just isn't going to work any more. I feel so bad for him, he truly does not deserve this.

my mind instantly thinks "she's cheating."
So does ours and his... There is a questionable neighbor. He is teaching her to play the drums and watches the dog for her. She won't let him see his own dog!
I am here trying to settle my stomach. I started feeling sick after lunch and then at 2:50 (students leave at 3) I had a student make one of those remarks that I have to report, so I ended up at work until 4:30 dealing with that situation and trying to follow up on an observation from my mentor, and putting together all the materials I need for lesson planning over the weekend, and what I need to write an IEP.

In short I am ready for February break.
I know how that goes. Since we had snow days they are making us make them up which means we do not have another day off from school until Spring Break. It starts April 14th and they are thinking about taking the first day of Spring Break as a make up day too!
That's one good thing about working in Maine. We have Snow Days that are built into the calendar. If we don't use them we get out early.
@wanderingstar We have 175 student days a year. We have to meet those. On our school calendars it shows a release date for not using any snow days and one for if we have five snow days. If we go over the five snow days then we just keep going until we have met the 175 days.
Re: Friday randoms go here
Going out dancing tonight. 2 nights out in a row for us (tomorrow is a friend's surpise 30th birthday dinner.) H's last weekend home though.
