Last BCP went down the hatch last night

Lupron is continuing, as are the joint pains, and I'm looking forward to my baseline & starting stims next week.

QOTD: I love running in the snow, and actually ran some errands the other day. I ran to and from the post office in town - it was so much fun!

Had my first round of BW & US today - apparently everything looks good for the blood work and follicles are growing - but they're not big enough yet to "put on the page" whatever that means lol

Next BW/US is Saturday... come on little follicles start growing!!!

QOTD: Snow days usually mean shoveling - but if i had my way I would sleep in and then chill in my pjs for the morning watching bad daytime TV... and maybe strap on some Xcountry skis or snowshoes and explore... unfortunately working from home means I don't get snow days

Hi Ladies!

I am on day 6 of stims & it looks like ER will be Monday! Had my second monitoring appt this morning & it showed 6 follies between 11-16 & 2 smaller ones at 7 & 8. If the smaller ones catch up that will be 8 for me! I know this isn't the greatest response but I'm very happy with it given my LOR/DOR diagnosis. I am very nervous about quality, but for today I am going to be excited about my 8 potential eggs!

DH also had to submit a new sample last week because our previous RE was taking too long to send over his records & it was his best sample ever! His count was 4-10 mil for our IUI's w/very low motility & now it is up to 60 mil w/55% motility!! Not sure what even caused these awesome changes in just 1 month! If the results are this good the day of ER, our RE wants to only do ICSI on half of the eggs & see if the other half will fertilize on their own (of course this depends on how many we end up with).

QOTD: Snow day...what's that? LOL! We don't get many of those down here in Texas but if we did, I would probably want to sit by the fireplace & watch movies.

I'm PUPO! ET was the morning. We transferred one 3BB expanded blastocyst. First beta is scheduled for 2/17 - 11 days from now. I'm reconsidering my beta or bust plan. Is it too late to get some Dollar Tree HPTs to test out my trigger :P

QOTW: Well I live in FL now, but when I lived in a snowy state I loved to play in the snow and then change into PJs and have hot chocolate!

I am still taking estrace my dosage will change sat (which I'm kind of excited for, I guess just because it is one step closer to ET)...my u/s and bloodwork are on valentines day then Ill hopefully get to start PIO and dexamethasone for ET on the 21st.

QOTD: Im with jlr96 on this one, I live in Georgia so we got our first snow in 2 years (and probably the most EVER, a little over 2 in) just last week. But I did LOVE how pretty and white everything was, Everything just looked perfect! I took my dog for a walk, she loved it! And we used our fireplace for the first time this year and watched movies.

Hello fellow Hearts.....

I have a 7:30 am ER tomorrow!! I am very nervous bc we did not have luck with IVF #1. However, I feel a lot better this round!! I have been doing yoga, and just feel better!! I will post tomorrow on how things go. This will also be our first ICSI IVF. I am hoping for good results!! I really want a 5 day transfer!!!!

QOTD: I live in Iowa and I HATE SNOW!! My snow days consist of a good book and a heated blanket!!! I don't leave the house. I am missing my flip flops and tank tops!!! 2014 has had more days below 10 degrees than above...and most of those were below zero.

****warning, loss mentioned

Well it is with a heavy heart that I have to say this IVF has been cancelled. The reason being is after my baseline bloodwork and u/s on Monday they called me to tell me that my HCG came back positive at 292. Somehow I managed to get a bfp while being on the pill this month prepping. Boy was I shocked. They immediately told me to stop my protocol and come back on Wed for bw again. That bw came in lower at 235. They are pretty certain this is not viable and will do another round of bw tomorrow. I have already started to bleed so I pretty much know it is not going to be a miracle. Sadly, this month I not only couldn't complete my 2nd IVF I also got a bfp with a non viable preganacy. Hoping to be able to go back to IVF in March or April, but will need to consult with my RE first.

Best of luck to all the rest of the Hopeful Hearts. Lots of great progress going on right now and I hope you all find success. For those having difficulty this month, I now join you and hope we can all pull through and go on to find success very soon.

Still on bcps. I had my hysteroscopy yesterday and am really sore. The dr removed two polyps which was good but the clamp caused tearing in my cervix so I have stitches to heal those. I will find out next Friday at my post op appt if I a still going to cycle this month or be pushed to the beginning of March. QOTD: I really hate snow so my favorite snowy day activity is to stay inside and make soup or chili and bake.

Nothing exciting for me to report yet. Still on bcp's. Last one is the 11th and then bw and us scheduled for feb 15th to hopefully start my meds! Meds will be coming next Tuesday. I still can't believe I'm going through this a 2nd time.

QOTD: hmm, probably staying in my pjs and watching tv and reading on the couch with a blanket and the fire place on with either coffee or hot coco!

Trigger tonight, ER Saturday. My progesterone is too high so this needs to be a freeze all cycle. I have 4 mature follicles so I'm pretty nervous. Shady grove typically only freezes perfect blasts too so I don't know what to expect.

PUPO! Home on the couch after transferring two embryos. One was 8 cell one was 9 cell. Both were grade 3. (No letters so maybe my clinic uses a different ranking system?)

And hubby is coming home early from the city to celebrate! And by celebrate I mean wait on me while I stay on the couch

Cycle 1 we were Beta or Bust and I think I'm going to try to again. Beta #1 will be 2/17.

Things are not going as planned/hoped, which I know is a very common experience for most of the folks on this board. Infertility bites.

ER was on Tuesday. We went in expecting 15 eggs and they got 10. Apparently some of the follicles were actually clear endometriomas. And they could not easily reach my left ovary and even with the nurse on top of me pressing down on my stomach, they still had to leave one egg unretrieved on that side.

Yesterday we learned that only 3 of the 10 eggs where able to be fertilized with ICSI. I don't know what the deal with the other 7 was. I don't have DOR, so this seems like a very low fertilization rate. Clearly something is not working out right with my ovaries. I think the endo is largely to blame.

The good news is that all three of the fertilized eggs were growing. Today is day 2 so we don't get a report. We're on call for a day 3 transfer tomorrow. We'll get a call between 9 and 9:30 am letting us know whether we should come in.

I really, really, really hope at least one of the embryos makes it to day 3 for a transfer or to day 5 for a transfer. Obviously I hope all 3 do. But with so much going wrong, I realize there's the very real possibility that we could end up with none to transfer.

Hello Hello... This is day 7 of IVF #2 stims. This morning I went in for my 3rd round of check ups Bloodwork & US... I have 12 follies on the left and 11 follies on the right. The largest are measuring around 15mm. My Gonal F got decreased down to 75iu, Menopur got increased to 112 iu, and I have to start Ganirelix tonight then take again in the AM before my appointment. They have me on everyday monitoring at this point. So my weekend will be spent in the RE, giving away all my blood.

ER scheduled for Tueday 2/11!

QOTD: Snuggling in bed, watching movies or catching up on TV shows. I take the lazy way out each time.

Congrats on the BFP Girlgamer!

Today I went for my lining check and blood work and both looked good. Got the go ahead to start Progesterone injections tomorrow night... the first time I have had to do them and I am terrified. Transfer is on for Wed. as long as we get an embryo to thaw correctly!

Snowy days are best spent cuddling with my dog, a good book, and some hot chocolate. Unfortunately I work in a hospital and it seems I'm always driving in the snow!

Nothing to report here. 4 more days of BCP. Cannot WAIT to be done with them.

QOTD: We moved to Upstate NY a few years back, which is very cold and snowy--new for me, as I'm from TN. We put in a woodstove our first winter in our house, and I think it's the best decision I've made in my life. It's not cost-effective, but there is nothing better than curling up on the couch with the dog in a warm and toasty room to watch the snow. Preferably with a whiskey and cider in hand, but there's less of that these days.

@pblge, it is funny that you used the word "rocky" and "champs" to describe our IVF and embryos. Our theme song has been "eye of the tiger" for this IVF and so we decided yesterday to nickname our 3 embryos "Rocky 1," "Rocky 2," and "Rocky 3" and we are crossing everything that they are fighters that make it!

I had a monitoring appointment today. Our 7 follicles are all going strong. Tomorrow will be the trigger shot & Sunday morning retrieval. We have been recommended to try assisted hatching. Have any of you done this? Was it useful?

Bloodwork and suppression check was today. Decided to reduce the lupron to 5 units because my ovaries were "too quiet". The plan is to start stims on Monday, which is exciting. Finally feel like we are getting somewhere.

@pblge - I'll be having a wtf consult with my RE soon and will bring up RPL testing if he doesn't. I've already had quite a few tests done in my initial work up, but now I hope to have more of the more rare testing items done. I just don't have time to be messing around cycle after cycle.

Hugs to those that need them and fingers crossed for those still waiting.

My first Lupron injection was last night and I GAVE IT TO MYSELF! This is HUGE! Granted, it took 4 hrs and lots of tears but I finally did it. I'm the girl that still cries and breaks out in a sweat for every blood draw - I have a terrible needle phobia. I would only let my mother inject me during Cycle #1 and it was very difficult to arrange to meet every evening. Although hubs is very willing and able, I am determined to inject myself this cycle (or at least be able to if I am alone).

So...I'd say I'm off to a good start

Thanks for all the positive wishes! We actually just got the call that all three of our embryos are still doing great! We are going in to transfer two at 11:15. We didn't even think this outcome was possible once we got the fert report on weds. We are so excited and so scared of being excited.

AFM, we decided to officially cancel today after 11 days of stims. On Wednesday we only had one at 10 and today it had grown to 12 and we had two others at 10 and 12. They are just too slow and there isn't success with more than 12 days. We only have money/time to do one more retrieval, so we want to try again to give us a better shot.

We will do a phone WTF with RE on Monday, but what we talked about on Wednesday was waiting for my period, baseline, then immediately start a mini IVF cycle. So it could still start in February with a March retrieval. I think we are also dropping our planned PGS testing because I really want to transfer something. So we will choose the protocol to give us the best egg response and freeze if we are concerned about lining so we can better prepare for a FET. I'm wishing all of the Hopeful Hearts luck this month!

AF arrived today. Tomorrow is my baseline ultrasound and bloodwork, and provided everything is normal, I start stimming tomorrow evening. Happy to be moving on to the stimming phase as I am anxious to start the process and hoping that this month it works. At the same time - dreading the bloating, etc that will go along with it.

I used assisted hatching on our one and only successful IVF cycle (it was our third cycle and was otherwise a terrible cycle (low number of eggs retrieved, even lower number mature, and only two fertilized; it was also a 2 day transfer rather thant he previous unsuccessful blast transfers). @STBMrsMiller, I'm sorry you didn't respond well to your protocol. I am about to start on my first Microdose Lupron Flare Protocol cycle. I hope I don't respond even worse with it than my previous cycles. I almost did a mini-IVF cycle instead. But, I had some issues with one of the doctors involved with it. I hope that the mini-IVF protocol they use works well for you!!

ER went great today. They retrieved 14 and of those 10 were mature. ICSI should be complete and I am hoping I have lots of growing embies.

I feel so much more tired this time. I got home around 10 and slept until 3. However, I woke up at 3 am bc I was so anxious and worried. I don't know why....DH is usually the one to do all the worrying.

Now I am worrying about my fert report. I will hear from embryologist tomorrow afternoon this time. I think it is because last time they had to do a rescue ICSI. DH was all over the embryologist and RE to ensure they saw the instructions to perform ICSI. Bless his heart!!
