Expecting in Seattle

I'm Lisa, and I saw from the intro post that there are at least 4 of us, so I thought we deserved our own thread! That way we can commiserate about not being able to have a beer while we cheer on the Hawks on Sunday!

I hope everyone is off to a great start! This is my first pregnancy, and I'm definitely nervous, excited, and exhausted!

Go Hawks! I'm going on Friday to get my nails done in Hawks colours (mom is watching the boys). I'm kinda sad to be missing out on the skittles vodka on Sunday, at least I'll be able to eat the plain skittles!

I'm Lindsey. This will be my 3rd kiddo. I'm over on the Eastside, so not quite Seattle, but close enough! H&H 9 months to everyone!

It is so stinkin cold! We will most likely get snow up here this weekend. Im ok with it since I dont have anywhere to be except the couch with a cup of tea and some Downton Abby.

I'm from Seattle area too! Maple Valley. This may be kind of early but as this being my first pregnancy, I'm already thinking ahead. Where have you guys/where are you going to deliver? I haven't told any friends yet so but I will be seeking their advice soon.
Any tips on obgyns/midwives/hospitals appreciated

I'm out in Snoqualmie, so I'll deliver at Swedish Issaquah. It's where I had DS#2 and it was a great place! I had DS#1 at Overlake in Bellevue, and vowed never to go back.

I also adore the OBs at Swedish Issaquah. I have friends that drive up to Issaquah from Renton because they are so awesome!

I delivered my son at Swedish Edmonds, and did my birth class at Swedish Issaquah- that place is amazing. This time I will going for a birth center birth, but I haven't decided which yet.

and your rec's it seems that Swedish issaquah is a great choice. It's about 30 min away, and that seems okay.

My friend delivered at Swedish Issaquah. It's beautiful! I have heard several bad stories about Overlake in Bellevue. Although that is where I was born, ha! And to clarify, I'll do Swedish First Hill. Maybe I'll see you there @wsmommj28

I'll deliver at St Joes in Bellingham which has a sketchy rep but that's the only choice up here. My other ones were born in Boston at an amazing hospital so I'm a bit nervous, but glad it's not my first baby experience.

I woke up to snow this morning. Not much, but enough to cover the ground and here in the PNW that counts.
Wishin I didnt have to work today, but hopefully the roads are good. Anyone else have snow?

We had a small dusting, not enough to declare a snow day though. Hoping for more snow tomorrow...I would love to get some pictures with my son in the snow this year. Last year we had to drive over the pass to find some :P

How are all the Seattle moms and moms-to-be? I haven't been able to keep up with all the Oct 2014 posts, but I did see @Wsmommj28 saw a heartbeat! Such great news - congratulations!! I have my appointment on Friday and I am so nervous!!! Hoping and praying for a heartbeat. Has anyone else had their first ultrasound yet?

I still have a wait ahead of me until my first appointment at 10 weeks, but we do have a consultation at a birth center on Monday... hoping it is a good fit. Good luck everyone with your appointments!

I've been having some spotting so I have an US scheduled today . So nerve wrecking !!! Never had any discharge with baby #1 . I haven't had any morning sickness but I would take that any day over this!!
