Passing out and dizzy...with updates!

Ok so some of you know that at work on Monday I passed out. Thankfully from a sitting position, but I totally busted my face on the computer. My freaking nose still hurts!!! Anyways, they sent me home and I talked to my OB who sent me to the Womens Center to get some tesdting. Not sure what all they did but everything came back ok and the baby looked great. They sent me home and told me they think it may have been a seizure but a referral to a Nuerologisthe was the next step.

Went to work on Tuesday and blacked out. Same thing except that this time as soon as i got dizzy I laid my head on the desk so I didn't bust my face again and it soon passed and they sent me home again. Called the doc and now she thinks it for sure may be heart related so I have an appointment with the Cardiologist in the morning.

Also, I have had fainting spells before but NEVER 2 in the same few months, let alone 2 days in a row.

FX please that it is nothing major and I will update yall as soon as I know more.

Scary stuff for sure but I have faith in the healing powers of a good cardiology workup. In the meantime, don't drive, or lock the bathroom door, or change position too fast, or go for a walk. Oh heck, just stay in one place and keep us updated!

@internationalkate lol that's what I have been telling DF. I just need to sit on the couch all day!!!

Thank you all. DF is a doc and he said he is pretty sure it wasn't a seizure but he wouldn't bet his career on it. I am really hoping that the Cardiologist has answers so that we don't have to go on to Nuero.

haha DF was begging me to find a fooetball helmet to wear to work to be funny. I can usually feel it coming on and generally if I sit down it helps but for some reason I was already sitting. I can drive but I am trying to stay local(small town) until it's figured out so I can pull over easily.

Ask the cardiologist about Vasovagal Syncope (also called Neurocardiogenic Sycope). I was diagnosed with it years ago but pregnant women tend to be more prone to it. It can be completely manageable too but docs don't always look for it. In the meantime may I suggest compression stockings. They are my best friend!!!

That is scary. I am prone to fainting (was diagnosed with vagal motor syndrome) and it is one of the worst feelings. Hopefully the cardiologist finds an easy solution. I've been told to carry something salty in case I feel faint.

I am being safe for sure and only driving when I have to. DF had knee surgery so he can't drive and he has an apt that is over 2 hrs away tomorrow and we def had to find someone else to take him. I live 2 mins from the hospital which is where the cardiologist is located thankfully.

T&Ps! Hope everything turns out okay! I know a few weeks ago I was getting real lightheaded at work and my MD felt it could be related to sinuses/the dryness at work? (I never actual fainted tho)!

Thanks y'all. I'm nervous about my appointment in the morning so I course I can't sleep. I'm sad DF can't be there cause his own appointment that he can't miss and my momma is at work several hours away. I haven't told many people about it so I didn't want to ask some random friend to go.

Well so far, I was sitting in waiting room and was getting all hot and fuzzy feeling like when an episode happens and they called me back so I told her I didn't feel well and she sai my blood pressure was pretty low but my sugar was good. They didn't want to give me anything yet bc they don't know what's going on and my doc is at the hospital with an emergency at the moment.
Did an EKG and will get the results when he gets here!

No real answers yet. EKG was fine and he thinks my heart is fine as well. Getting a US of my heart to make sure though. Wants me to wear a heart monitor and will get that soon.
He thinks the problem is that baby boy is laying on my "vena cava" (spelling) and it is causing the blood flow to slow down to my heart which in turn slows down blood flow to my brain. Basically for now I have to sit only on my left side, lay only on my left, and not stand for more that like 10 mins at a time. He said if it happens again he hopes I have the monitor on but as of right now it's not something super major. Just some changes I will have to make until we can get further testing done.
Also I will have to quit the job I just started which sucks and I'm not really sure what to do with all that!!!

@cristykaye - Glad you got some answers, even if they weren't definitive or anything! And how great that if you had to have another episode, it happened when you were there! Hopefully they will be able to identify some of the possible causes with the monitor - glad you're doing okay and they could rule a few things out already!
