I'm jealous of those who get to stay home with snow days, but then again, not jealous of the snow. So work it is for me. Just got to the office about 15 minutes ago and my morning routine now includes checking TB along with my emails in the morning.

I'm having a snow day again which is good since I am still really sick. I'm laying on my couch with an ice pack on my eye trying to get the swelling to go down. DH is still in bed sleeping and I wish I was doing the same.

I'm putting off getting ready for work. Making a list of things that need to get done. It is 10 degrees out and I am hoping to get a text that we can wear jeans to work (they do that when it is ridiculously cold). Right now it is just me and the dog home so it's really quiet.

I'm in San Diego, so no snow days here ever! It is 0730 PST. I worked Sunday/Monday and so I'm off until Friday.

Currently in bed sandwiched between a body pillow on one side and a cat on the other. Husband is in the attached bathroom getting ready for work and the electric shaver is buzzing away. Birds are chirping outside the window and I am tempted to head back to sleep.

Only going to reach the low-mid 60s today so I think I'll stay home and clean today (theoretically). Although a little afternoon hike in the canyon next to my house sounds nice...we will see how motivated I get today...

What a lovely morning for you ladies! Right now, I am mustering up the energy to shower (I, too, have a snow day as a result of a nasty ice storm last night).

Just a minute ago, however, I was watching my darling dogs trying to play in the disgusting icy mess that is our backyard. Every time they took a step, they either slid or fell through the ice on top of the snow. When the poor little guys tried to poop, they kept slipping every time they squatted! I felt bad for laughing, but it was really, really funny to watch.

I just found out two people in my group just go promoted, including my boss, which usually is whatever but I've been deserving of a promotion for a long time and have been continuously snubbed. It's also on the heels of my busy season where I've been the one working 60 hour weeks and running the whole project and I got no recognition for all of my hard work...and now my boss gets the credit and gets a promotion. I know it's not only based on this one project, but the timing of this announcement couldn't have come at a worse time when we just submitted our final reporting last Friday, so it's all still fresh. I just feel like she gets all the credit and does none of the hard work. Maybe I'm being whiny, but I don't care, I deserve SOMETHING. And THAT is what's going on at work right now. Oh, and on top of that, I had to report someone yesterday for sexual harassment...it was very awkward, but I feel like I can't work with this person anymore he makes me so uncomfortable. I need to get out of here.

Checking in from the West Coast! Got to work a few minutes ago, later than usual since I have my prep period first today (our schedule rotates) which means I don't actually have to teach until 9:30! Love these days! Drinking my Starbucks and eating my coffee cake while checking in on you lovely ladies. Eventually I'm going to have to get up and go make some copies and put together a game on thesis statements, but that is going to have to wait until I am sufficiently awake.

I am currently extremely jealous of those who are still at home, on the couch or in bed!

Roads here are terrible but I am convinced this company doesn't believe in snow days. The attorneys need all their peeps in case they need that $10 check to go out ASAP! I am putting off approving expense reports and preparing monthly budget variance reports for all of the departments...debating whether to hunt down something delicious for breakfast, but that would mean braving the -15 degree weather. Decisions...decisions.

We just got back from Lincoln's Kindermusik class. He ran and ran and ran the entire time so I hoping for a good nap. I have no clue what to feed this kid for lunch; it is our worst meal every day.

H and I decided to stay home from work.... even though he took the car out for a test and discovered that once you get past the residential roads, everything is plowed and clear. But we didn't tell our boss that.

But I'm being productive! I called and spoke to a realtor about setting up a viewing for a cute 3 bedroom house. We're going to go see it on Saturday. This is our first time buying a house, so nervous yet so excited! I also called my insurance about a medical bill from November that they were refusing to pay. Thank goodness it was an easy fix and they took care of it right away, that was a $1000 bill that was going to become my responsibility.

I told H that if we stayed home from work that we were definitely going to clean the house. So far I've gotten dressed and made breakfast, but other than that have not left my computer chair. Neither has he.
