Sleep Poll

1.  How many hours does your LO sleep overnight?

2.  Does your LO still nap?  If so, for how long?

Re: Sleep Poll

  • DD's bedtime is 8, but she isn't realistically asleep until 8:30 or 9. She usually wakes up twice in the night to go potty and is awake between 7-8 am.

She still naps anywhere from 1.5 - 3 hours in the afternoon, with 2 hours being the norm.

  • She maybe naps once a week now and is up between 6:30am and 7am. She goes to bed 7-8 but stays up for about an hour playing her leap pad.
  • He sleeps about 11 hours a night and takes 2.5 hour nap every day. He loves his sleep!
  • 1.  How many hours does your LO sleep overnight?  11.5 hours at night. We put her down at 7:30 or 8:00 and she wakes up around 7:00 the next morning.

    2.  Does your LO still nap?  If so, for how long? Yes and for about 2 hours.
  • I have night owl children. E is normally in bed between 9-11pm and up between 5-7am. He takes a 2-3 hour nap which we have to wake him up from most days because anything longer than 3 hours and we would be up much later. :/

  • He is in bed at 8:00 and sleeps until somewhere between 6:00 and 7:00.

He still takes a good, long nap - 2-3 hours.

  • DD is sleeping 8-10 overnight and 3 hours during the day.

My issue is that she would sleep over three hours for her nap if I let her.  And she is almost always cranky and angry when I wake her up, and then doesn't want to go to bed until late.  But she has never been one to sleep any more than 10 hours overnight, regardless of what time she goes to bed.  I guess this is just her sleep pattern right now.

  • CrashIntoMe1 that's pretty much where we're at right now.  DH and I are having ZERO quality time together, because once DD1 is finally asleep around 10:30, I really HAVE to get to bed shortly thereafter, because the baby wakes up around 4am and often will stay up for 1-2 hours.

The main issue is that the weather is keeping us from getting outside to burn off energy, so she's simply not tired until later...meaning waking up close to dinner time...leading to late bedtime.  Soo...yeah.  A vicious cycle :(

  • Bedtime is between 8 and 8:15. Both girls get up between 6:30 and 7:00.

DD2 is nowhere near ready to drop her nap. Her typical nap is 1.5 hour but she can go longer. If she gets less than 1h15, then she is a complete beast.
