My DD has a cold and is stuffed up at night. I've been using saline drops and the bulb, but wondered if I could use eucalyptus oil in a warm bath or put it on me so she could smell it to help her congestion. If so, whats the concentration to use?
This is what kellymom.com says "Essential Oils: Place a drop or two of either eucalyptus or peppermint essential oil on a cotton ball or handkerchief and hold near the nose while breathing deeply."??I don't know what the concentration would be. We use baby vicks, which seems to work for DS.
I used some in a bath for ds but I'm not sure if it helped, but I did put like 10 drops on a cotton ball and put it on a shelf near his bed overnight and that seemed to help a lot.

I actually drop some on a washcloth and then wipe his sheets with it. Then I put the wash cloth on the shelf next to his bed. The whole room smells of the Euc. oil. I love it! I've also put it on my tshirt in the middle of the night when he wakes up to be held. Helps every time!

https://www.drjaygordon.com/development/alternative/colds.asp says to use Lavender and Clary Sage in a bath. It also gives the directions for using it.
