We got in on a cancellation so we had our appointment this morning with the fertility clinic, instead of next month. It was an hour and 45 minutes away and we hit traffic so it took us almost 3 hours. It also didn't help that we got rear-ended on the way there, so we were sidetracked with that for a bit. No damage to our car though, so that's good. But not a very calm drive when I was already stressed!
The appointment went well. They went over our medical history and then did a quick physical before sending me off for blood work. They did it in two batches but took a total of 18 vials and I almost passed out. I don't normally faint from blood work but I guess this time it was just too much for my little body.
Our next steps are to schedule an SHG with my ob/gyn (hopefully, since it's local and will be easier) and then do some more blood work next cycle (progesterone testing and chromosome testing). Our follow up is March 24th and we will hopefully get some answers and a plan then.
Anyone care to share their SHG experiences with me? Google isn't helping my nerves any.

As I mentioned in my post below, I haven't had any pain or really any cramping with either SHG. As snegde said, I did need a pad for leakage
4 Losses (2003, 2008, Apr 2012, & Oct 2012)
All RPL and IF testing with multiple REs = normal
5 IUIs = BFN
All AL are welcome

I'm so glad you're getting started. That's really great! I hope you get some answers at your next appointment and come up with a plan you're happy with.
I had an ultrasound with saline and dye, so similar to a SHG. When they put the catheter in, it felt like a pap, just some pinching and discomfort. Then it felt like mild cramps when they were doing the test. I was terrified it was going to be really painful but it was really not bad AT ALL (I know different people have different experiences though). Bring several pads with you because you will leak afterwards! And take ibuprofen or tylenol beforehand.
