As I was reading the wedding regrets thread, I couldn't help but notice how many of you had complaints about your photographer. So, for those of you who loved your wedding photographer, or at the very least were pleased with the end result, why? Attention to detail? Lots of images? Good package prices/choices? I'd love to hear your perspective!

My favorite set of photos are because the photographer was creative with angles and composition. She was also good at getting people's good sides
The second photographer was using a very old (think tray of poofing powder) camera and I think that her photos will look better Sepia toned B&W. she was very shy and not good at directing her subjects. The photos she gave me were in full color and not edited, but the cool part is that she sent the negatives.
The third is coming to visit next month from 2,000 mi away and I will ask her about the photos!
I loved mine and will have them take photos of all our big moments. They did not take too many photos, but I loved how all of them turned out. More than that, they were really great people to be around. You don't realize how much of your big day you spend with the photographer, so it is nice to have someone pleasant.
- Bright colors, but thats a personal preference
- Not too many posed shots
- She was so fun and cool, and I knew that whoever I picked would spend so much time with me on a really important day, so I wanted to like them personally
- She made me feel important, rather than like I was lucky to have her
- Real candid pics, some photogs I talked to don't want to stay for the whole reception so they wanted us to take posed pictures pretending to cut the cake and what not, and I felt like I would ALWAYS know it wasn't real, so I wanted someone who would stay until the end
I picked a package that was just a disk of engagement pics and a disk of wedding pics, so I did our album on my own, which was tons of work, but kind of fun too.
