Y'all. I am having some serious pelvic pain. On my back left side of my pelvis. (I'm 26.5 weeks.) It hurts when I sit, it hurts when I stand, it REALLY hurts when I walk, bend, twist, lean, and breathe.

Anyone else had this? Anything I can do? I put a call in to my OB but thy never call back before 4. I don't know how I'm going to make it all day with this pain! (And this is coming from a girl who has walked around with a fractured or broken bone for weeks at a time... Three times! I have a high pain tolerance.)

I have an appt scheduled Wednesday with the NP. Do you think they are his going to have me wait it out till then?

Ouch. I hope you can get some relief soon! I am not pregnant so obviously check with your doctor, but have you ever been to a physical therapist? I see a sports medicine doctor for my sciatic pain and he does an Active Release Technique that has helped me a lot. He also does some massage and chiropractic adjustments along with it. I believe it works for muscle and nerve pain.

Thanks @mdiblasi10. Dr. Google makes it look like this is going to be my best option. Hopefully I can find someone who specializes in this treatment in pg women.

Does the pain go down your leg at all? If so it could be sciatica caused by LO sitting on your sciatic nerve. If not my best guess is its probably baby's position that's giving you troubles. I would try getting on all fours and rocking back and forth to try to get baby to change positions. Btw this is not based on anything except my own opinion. Either way, I hope you feel better soon!

Hey Tj. boo no fun at all! I've had it really bad..sciatica. It's shooting pain down my right side of my back down my butt into my leg. It's where the baby is sitting and some days are just worse then others. The only thing my doctor recommended for me was a maternity support belt which I didn't buy. I see no point. So I guess I stink at any suggestions at how to fix. I have just been dealing with the constant pain. Laying down flat is the most painful thing to do. Hope it get's better soon! (((hugs))) No advice, I had bad SPD (basically your body produces too much relaxin so your pelvic bone ligaments soften and separate - so painful!! I'm clenching my butt thinking about it. gah!), but it doesn't sound like that's what it is. SPD is usually in the very front.

Can you try hands and knees with cat/cow (arch of back/drop of belly if you aren't into yoga). I did tons of these with J. It might provide some relief and shift deuce to a better spot.

Is it RLP?? I had that on and off and it was INCREDIBLY painful. Hoping that is all it is, GL with the Dr!

I agree about the cat/cow pose. I did this a few times for that deep, back pain. It can encourage the baby to shift a bit. Other than that, acu helped my sciatica and a support belt was essential for the going pains/ groin pressure. I couldn't function without it from about 19w-31w when they dropped.

Hey girls. It's not sciatic, I had that with E and it is definitely different. No radiating shooting pain. It just feels like my pelvis is going to split in half. The nurse was zero help. She called at 4 and said if it's that bad, go to the ER. Otherwise rest tonight and drink lots of water and call her in the morning.
A fat lot of good calling her in the morning will do if she doesn't call back till 4.

I had something similar but it only last a couple of days. Some of those pregnancy pains are no joke! I hope you find relief soon!

I'm so sorry the nurse wasn't more help! I feel like "drink water and rest" is their advice for pretty much everything during pregnancy. Have you tried Tylenol at all? It can't hurt, right? I hope you get some relief soon.

I think everything was way more uncomfortable with baby #2. I'd try a chiropractor or an acupuncturist to get more comfortable.

@carrieb. I was just thinking that! Why is it so much harder this time!?!?
I spent the night sitting on a medicine ball and doing yoga poses and feel much better today. I wish I could replace my desk chair at work with a medicine ball!
