My Little Girl is 2!
I can't believe it, but my daughter is officially 2 years old! She was born at 12:17am 2 years ago today at 26w2d and weighed 1 pound 12 ounces and was 12 inches long. Despite all the ups and downs of 83 days in the NICU, and the subsequent months on oxygen, apnea monitor, and pulse ox, Adalyn has been able to close all her developmental delays except speech, and she's improving on that every day.
My little girl was born a fighter, and she is still very tenacious today! It's amazing how far she has come. It's amazing how that time when she was born and spent in the NICU feels both like it was just yesterday and forever ago. My little fighter is 2 and I'm so happy that I get to celebrate with her.
