Monday B!tchfest!

More snow and schools are closed again. At this rate, the kids will be in school all summer. The Seahawks man-handled the Broncos.

  • Our oven is out. It's gas, the burners and broiler work, hopefully it doesn't cost a lot.

DH sick with flu. Baby woke up vomiting in the middle of the night. (He was sick Sat but better Sun so I thought he was in the clear.) Even before this I was behind for the day. Oh yea and our washing machine went kaput yesterday.

Baby Gap why do you have such cute things! You taunt me with your 35% off deal and my $25 Gap cash. But I don't want to spend $60 on an Easter outfit for Riley! She'd look adorable in that dress!

But I'm trying not to spend money so we can get the awesome new house we want. A penny saved is a penny earned, right? Got to keep the pennies I earn!

I hear ya. I can't walk in there with out dropping a $100. But I do get a lot for my money IMO.

Agreed! Love a good sale and the quality. But Carters stuff is like half the price. I have to debate what other dresses we have around here and how many spring rents we'll attend! Ha, events....like we lead that fabulous of a life!

  • The dreaded man cold has hit my house. So far its just the big guy down. Fx the little guy doesn't fall as well.
  • I woke up at 3am feeling so nauseous and have since had stomach "issues." I had to take a sick day and I feel like everyone is going to think its because I'm hungover. Not true, I drank 2 beers the entire game. I still feel like crap. Ugh.
  • I am so sad for our friends who have been TTC for 2 years. It's just not fair and makes me feel guilty for having DD. They will be the best parents.
  • V is having a crib strike. WTH? He will immediately start screaming when I lay him in the crib. So I brought him to bed with us the other night and guess what? No issues. Slept for like 5 hours which he hasn't done since like 3 months.

We are dealing with the exact same thing! Is this seperation anxiety? Teething? It sucks.

No clue but it totally sucks. We only have a queen bed so its not that comfy but I will take 5 hours of sleep over comfort at this point.

I think all the nap ninjas and sleep samurais on our little board are in cahoots. Finn will only sleep on me for the last few days. I feel like I'm back in the newborn phase again.

  • @stina2012 link to the outfit? Still got a GC I need to use...

@valstulas oh man...at least your boys peed in a bowl! My childhood best friend peed behind the couch instead of going to the bathroom because he didn't want to go that far (he was 9). His mom took forever to find out where the smell was coming from *retch*

  • LO has been sick for a week (minus maybe a day or two of no fever somewhere in there). So I've been having to force feed her medicine and nosefrida her way too often.. She is not a happy camper. I hate making her upset but I also get frustrated that she won't just take the meds >:( DH says she gets that from me because I refuse to take medicine.

Now I'm starting to get sick.

It's Monday and DH goes to work and school FT so I'm facing a week mostly alone with either a sick baby or a sick self or possibly both. Hoo-fucking-ray.

Our washing machine has been broken for two weeks (we had just gotten our dryer fixed). I've been having to wash clothes at my moms. Better than a laundromat but still a pain in the ass, especially when my dogs have randomly decided that their kennel blankets make a great pisser.

Our sink has been leaking off and on for the last couple of weeks as well.

DH has a ton on his plate as well but I'm still pissed he doesn't take initiative to get things like this (washer, sink etc) fixed, nor does he do anything that I request. I've tried asking once and dropping it, I've asked more than once.. I've told him thAt it bothers me.. Wtf. I can't complain because he helps in a ton of ways and keeps me sane but I'm still frustrated that fixing shit falls to me always.

Holy shit. Sorry for the novel, felt good to get that out there though.

  • Oh, oh.. ANDDDD... I feel like I have to worry and keep track not only of myself but of DH. He can wake up after only 3 hours of sleep to go hunting but by god if he doesn't allow for at least 7-8 before waking up at 7 for school he will "sleep through" his alarm. I have to wake him up almost every morning and that pisses me off. He used to get up every morning at 5:30 while in the navy. wtf happened?! Plus he does very little for school and I'm always worried about him somehow fucking up and losing the BAH money that we desperately need right now (his stipend for living expenses while going to school under GI Bill)...

I feel bad for this bothering me because he is so freaking busy all the time.. I understand that he is super burnt out and needs a break.. It's just not an option right now for either one of us and I hate that either I have a control problem or he has a motivation problem (or both?)

Last night I let my kids watch the "Powerball" (Superbowl) bc they were all excited for it. Their bedtime is 8 PM, but I thought maybe I could let them stay up a little late. They were all jumping around and being rambunctious while Finn was working on reattaching himself to my body. All of a sudden I hear hysterical laughter and Owen saying "Do it, Liam! Pee in the bowl!" Dudes, Liam is standing there, pants down, as Owen holds a bowl in front of him, laughing hysterically. I just. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I wanted to intercept it, but I guess I was just in too much shock. So yeah, my kid pissed in a bowl. I have been so mad I've needed to walk away. I've yelled. I've cried. Fuck, I kicked a hole in the wall once. But I've never been so pissed (pun) that I started laughing. At first they were all like, "Oh, cool. We're so naughty but we are funny. We are never using the toilet again. Peeing in bowls FTW!" Then I gasped "BEDTIME!!!!!" between my hysterical outbursts and they all went to bed by their naughty selves at 7:15. I'm still mad this morning. Anyone wanna buy a cute little boy? JK, sorta.

My friends boys decided to have a contest...who can hit the toilet from the door.  Yeah...she wasnt impressed with either of them ;)
This reminds me when DS1 was 6 yrs old, him and my nephew used their water guns to shoot out every single light on my chandelier!! There was glass all over the dining room table.
Boys are amazing like that. :)

We have SD full time but for some reason her mom felt entitled to claim her on her taxes. We've had the required number of overnights to claim her every year legally, but always end up having to paper file because she gets double claimed. I'm so sick of getting audited every year just because she's too lazy or doesn't care enough to read the law.
Also it would be nice if her mom contributed to her upkeep at all...clothes, hat, boots, gloves, food, something! Meanwhile she's been collecting food stamps on her through the entire time they haven't lived together. You'd think since she is scamming the system that she would at least give some food to her kid. No! She's even in a newspaper article from thanksgiving talking about how she doesn't get enough food stamps to support her child. They could give that woman unlimited food stamps and cash assistance and she still wouldn't spend it on SD.

Sorry for the rant. I'm just so frustrated.

@jemasa33 you can report her for using food stamps for a child that doesn't reside under her care. I totally would. Just call up your local office.

  • And h took B for his helmet appt. $3000. Our deductible is $3200. So glad we waited the 2 month period that insurance requires before covering a helmet. I mean, we still need to go through insurance for it to count, but it is just frustrating.

  • @mainerocks - what an ass.  I don't know how I haven't gotten killed yet (due to road rage).. I've been tempted to stop and get out of my car and yell several times by idiot drivers like you mentioned.  >:(  Um, yeah hi, I'd like to live through my commute thank you.

  • @laurab1016 have you ever tried to call a welfare office? It's such a joke. I don't think anyone actually works the phones! I've thought about it though. I'm sending a good old letter to the IRS though. I hate getting audited!
  • Also... I drove 45 minutes to work and got a call saying school was cancelled while I was in the parking lot of work. Thank goodness I have the greatest dcp ever! She didn't charge me and had them for over 2 hours! I just got home after leaving for work 3 hours ago.

@danigirl7181 I would try and look up your oven type and see if there are common problems with your oven. I did this and was able to figure out what was wrong and fix it myself....with a little help from DH. Our oven was like yours and it turned out the coil that heats up, or the ignitor was out. This happens to ovens every couple years. I looked up an information you tube video and watched a guy on there replace it.

Nanny texted me at 5:10 to say she had "food poisoning" and wasn't going to be able to work today. DH has to drive 2.5 hours away for a meeting today. I usually have to leave for work at 6 am. I ended up being cancelled for work so I said fine but I'm pretty sure she doesn't have food poisoning and is really just hung over from the Super Bowl last night. I'm so annoyed but can't prove it. If she is sick why did she wait until the last minute to call off?! What makes me side eye her: A)she had texted on Friday to ask if she could switch today for Thursday and I said we couldn't. B) she is a Seahawks fan and is from Washington state originally
    @Rmnam1 Wow, that's a little obvious!
