First date night without LO!

Well, I just had my 6 week appointment and am approved for sex .. So we planned a date night at Cooper's Hawk tomorrow...(totally gonna do a wine tasting :D)We are leaving LO with my parents and I have 5 bags of frozen breast milk for him to have while I'm not there and we will pack some formula just in case. We MAY even leave him overnight .. But we're gonna play it by ear based on how he's doing and how we're doing without him. I am SO EXCITED for some alone time ... and SO NERVOUS about not having my baby with me (even though I know he will be in good hands!) Just wanted to share! And wondering, for those of you who have had their first date night or overnight away from LO, how did it go?

    We had our first date night when LO was 4 weeks. Our neighbor m, who is like family, watched her. We went to dinner and a movie. It was fantastic. And my neighbors, who are empty nesters waiting on grand kids, LOOOVED it. Enjoy yourselves :)

    DH and I are going on our first date night tomorrow night. We've left LO with ILs before, but it wasn't for too long. We're going to see a matinee and to a late lunch/early dinner so it'll be more than a couple hours. I'm really looking forward to some alone time with DH. We've actually made a rule that we can't talk about LO at all. It'll be completely about us. I think that'll be harder for me since I'm with her all day every day, but we'll see.

    My husband and I had our first date night the other night. Our LO is 8 1/2 weeks old . We went to a wine tasting with the owner Robert Hall of Robert Hall Wineries in California ( we are in Florida ) Then we went to a near by hotel where the chef prepared a wine and food pairing with the wines we just tasted and Mr Hall spoke about them and his winery as we were eating. We had smoked grouper , filet mignon , beef slow cooked for 41 hrs and a sweet creme brule ( I can't even spell ) rice pudding mix made with aborio rice with cherries soaked in liquor at the bottom. We got to dress up and live it up for the night . It was totally amazing !! I've decided I would rather do that one a month than go out once a week . My little one did great with my mom and dad . They sent pictures if them hanging out all night .

    Yall are so lucky! Enjoy your date tomorrow OP. We don't live near family so no break for us :( it would be nice for a date night before DH leaves on deployment. My BIL and SIL live here but they are already so awkward with her that they probably wouldn't feel comfortable watching her for even just a few hrs. Ohhhh well....lol. one day when we are older we will have alone time again
