My dd started walking at 10 months and now is almost a year old. She's gotten so good at walking but is still very clumsy. She was walking next to the zany zoo wood block toy and fell and hit her head on the edge
It didn't post the rest of my post. Should I let her sleep? She doesn't show any signs or it being bad but I'm paranoid. The pics are of it right after it happened and then 20 min later when she fell asleep
If it's a normal nap time for her or she seemed tired before she hit her head I wouldn't worry too much. If not or she got really quiet after she hit her head and before she fell asleep I'd give your pediatrician a call and see what they suggest.
So, my birth month board heard this story, but last night, my LO got an iron dropped on his head. Yup, an iron. And it dented his poor little head and freaked me the heck out…resulting in my calling 911. I'd do it all over again because I was seriously hysterical. But they were very reassuring. Their instructions were to watch him closely for irregular behavior, vomiting, or unconsciousness. You can check their pupils too, just to see if they are responding normally to light. But the EMTs reassured me that little kids will pass out easily, and if they haven't gone unconscious, it's most likely fine. That said, you need to watch closely for 24 hours - and call your doctor (if only to get extra reassurance and make yourself feel better!).
We visited out doctor this morning, and he said the same, and emphasized that I should call them right away if I had any concerns or anything seemed off. So call yours - you'll sleep easier tonight.
It's so scary when they hurt themselves. But if she's sleepy, and it's a normal nap time, she's probably just tired from being through a rough experience. Hope her bump is gone soon!
