Please help us put an end to this name indecision!

We're having serious issues coming up with a name for LO. At this point I'd say we're 75% sure we're naming our little lady Olivia but are still having trouble choosing a middle name. Which one do you like best? Any other suggestions?

  • Really fighting the urge to vote for I don't like any of them. I don't like Laurel and Rosemary with Olivia because the double plant name is a bit much. Luna seems a little hippy to me, not too bad though. Lorelei is fine, just NMS. I voted Lorelei

  • I think any of those 'L' names are a mouthful with Olivia. I like rose better than rosemary personally!
  • I agree with PP comments. Olivia Laurel got my vote but it's hard to say without knowing the last name.

  • If your last name starts with a D, I vote Rosemary because otherwise you've got OLD for initials.  Otherwise, Lorelei is my favorite of the bunch.
  • Heavy "L" sounds in both Olivia and Luna/Laurel, so for me they don't work.

  • I voted Laurel, but I really do like the sound of Olivia Rose.  How many syllables is the last name?  That could help.

  • I completely agree about the double plant thing.  That's part of my apprehension with Laurel and Rosemary.  Also, I think Olivia Laurel has too many Ls in it and as someone mentioned above none of the names seem to flow well together.  Granted, when my last name is added it helps.

Our last name is one syllable so I like the idea of a 2-syllable middle name.  Otherwise it will be two 1-syllable names next to each other--which could be nice but I tend to like longer, more flowing names.

Olivia Rose is actually on our list as is Olivia Renee.  I thing Olivia Renee sounds beautiful but I don't really like the name Renee on its own.  Such a dilemma!

Thanks for all the input! :)

  • We're naming our LO Olive Rose, so I agree with everyone above who is saying that Rose is a good match. :)
  • Agree with most of the PPs. Love Renee and Rose, but Renee is a much more refreshing option IMO.
