Hi everyone, I'm looking for some advice prior to contacting my new OBGYN (if I end up needing to). I've been charting the past 4 months or so (sorry I don't have anything linked to my Bump account yet, I'm usually on here on mobile) and FF has analyzed that my luteal phase is 10 days, on average (min. 9 days, max. 10 days). I had a MC in August so I don't know what it was prior to that as I wasn't charting.
From reading online, the average luteal phase is about 14/16 days, and some places said 10 can be on the lower end, thus causing pregnancy complications. For those of you who have been TTC and have had this issue, or know more about this, would you recommend I mention it to my doctor?
I'm a new patient there and transferred after my original OBGYN retired right before began TTC. My husband and I have been TTC for 13 months altogether. I'm not sure IF I should call and ask about testing for it, and if so, how to word it or bring it up? Would I speak directly to my OBGYN or mention it to the receptionist and let her go from there? Or is this not something I should look into yet?
Thanks for your input

All ALers welcome!
If you go to an OB only, they don't usually understand much about how to help you conceive, but they can get you the referral to the RE. If the OB offers you unmonitored clomid, don't take it. Just see the RE.
EDIT: Also, I'm sorry for your loss. I also have a 10 day LP. And the cycle after my miscarriage, my LP went to 9. I was told that a 10 day LP isn't great but also isn't something to worry about unless there are other issues along side it.

I'm sorry about your loss. If you do choose to contact a doctor, I know the women around here recommend going straight to an RE, not an OBGyN.
This wasn't the case for me but I'm strictly OOP and I'm 39 but I've read a lot on here of women that are having to wait.
