Re: UO Thursday!

  • I blocked all signatures because they were annoying to scroll through while trying to discreetly lurk at work until yesterday's post where everyone raved about looking at each others signatures.

So, in an effort to be more active and less lurky, and to establish KaceFace25 a bit more, I created a signature.

I guess my actions were an UO as of yesterday, but today I hope that changed :o)  And, I hope I set it up right so my signature shows up.

    Epic fail.  Working on it!
  • @KaceFace25, look at the info in the Need Siggy Help post stickied at the top for help. Otherwise some of us may be able to talk you through.

Maybe a board where women (and men!) share their opinions and experiences is not the best place for you.

Just for the hell of it, what exactly makes someone "over-opinionated", in your eyes?

  • Confession @jensavicci, I had to google pansexuality. I've never heard that before today! Very interesting :) I love learning something new. And I agree with you.

Me too. I was just about to post this confession, but I'll piggyback on yours ;)

I think you're narrow minded and quite ignorant if you willfully don't believe in bisexuality or pansexuality. Even more so if you actually know someone who is bi/pan.

How can someone not believe in something that exists? Saying "I don't agree with it" is very different than saying "I don't believe in it". That's kind of like saying, "I don't believe in the sun." although it clearly exists.

This may be off your topic but my coworker is kind of like this. If he hasn't heard of it or seen it, then he doesn't believe anyone else has. It ticks me off. "Well I've never heard of that band/TV show/famous person." Oh okay then...because you haven't then it doesn't exist. *eyeroll*

    --------------------------my quotes hate me-------------

My thoughts exactly. I could even get if you simply don't understand it. But hello, welcome to the world. It does exist.

    @mrscurlygurl

At least you looked it up and now understand it! Lol which is a lot more than others will do.

ETA: btw, you're just awesome in general :) just sayin.

  • I don't think the new Super Bowl Budweiser commercial with the dog is that great.

I never liked that volkswagen young darth vader commercial from last year or a couple years ago. Star Wars stuff is so overdone.

  • I have a few this morning.

I think anime/manga is stupid and annoying.

I don't understand the hype over Jennifer Lawrence. She's just ok.

I think you're narrow minded and quite ignorant if you willfully don't believe in bisexuality or pansexuality. Even more so if you actually know someone who is bi/pan.

This is more of a complaint than an UO (I could be wrong though) but, Im really starting to full on hate the word gender and stereotyping the sexes. (Ex: pink is for girls, blue is for boys. Only boys do this/only girls do that.) Be original and give me a fuckin break...*eye roll*. I mean I won't push that opinion down anyone's throat (its your life and your baby right?) but it really does "grind my gears".

Actually, this article is a perfect example of what I'm talking about. They're really simple examples but, you get the gist. https://www.buzzfeed.com/erinchack/pointlessly-gendered-products?s=mobile

Agree, except they left out "girl" LEGOs and also my ears are much smaller than DH's so I do need different earplugs, they just don't need to be pink.

My UO: (which I hope isn't really a UO) I see absolutely no reason why gay marriage is not legal in the entire US. Religious reasons? Nope, not valid.

Don't even get me started......lol love you for this!

My humble UO's; I don't get the Super Bowl hype.... Period. I don't get it. Football is boring as hell to watch. I don't understand why someone would buy a snoogle or sniggle or snuggle pillow- or whatever the hell they're called. Call me cheap (I am ;)), but it seems silly for such a short time. So much maternity stuff does. Im jealous of all ya'll with snow. Yes. The real snow and minus 45 windchills. I miss that a ton from living in Northern Canada. My cherry blossoms are blooming, I feel cheated out of winter. Ranch dressing sucks. So does mayo. And mustard. And One Direction.
If you used one later on in pregnancy, you would understand :) It is so worth the money. And it works to help with nursing/feeding after baby is born.

    Mustard is the shiz!

But I agree with you about Mayo. Yuck.

Parts of Alabama where I live were such awful weather conditions & the meteorologists never saw it coming.

    1) I'm tired of my Northern friends on Facebook laughing at how Southerners don't know how to drive in 2 inches of snow. We get maybe 3 snow flakes a year so of course we don't know how to drive in the snow. My kid wore a t-shirt on Christmas day because it was so dang hot. Also, it wasn't just snow. In many places it was dang near 1-2 inch sheets of ice on the roads. People were stranded for 6-12 hours at a time, 5 people in the state lost their lives & pregnant women delivered at home & in a car because they couldn't get the hospital. So shut up FB friends & have some compassion. To my knowledge, no one here laughed at you during hurricanes & etc that you weren't prepared for & if they did then shame on them.

    2) For crying outloud Southerners! We had one cold snap 2 weeks or so ago. Did you not think to put a case of water, dry shelf foods, flashlights & blankets/sleeping bags in your cars in case it happened again? If you didn't then I truly hope you learn something from this & put something in the trunk of your cars other than old Burger King food bags.

UO over & now I want Burger King. *sigh*

This about sums it up :)

  • ROTFL! Love it!

"We know that in a coupla days it will be right nice about 50 degrees and we’ll be back out on the back porch tellin stories and grillin steaks."

Although it's 5 degrees today, it's supposed to be 47 this weekend. :) Looks like I need to wipe the ice off the grill. :D

Don't even get me started. I have so many homosexual/gay friends, it drives me absolutely crazy and extremely irate.

I'm not sure this is categorized as an UO but I'm struggling with the idea of prioritizing relationships once the baby comes. Everything I read says that the baby comes and you are too tired/stressed to make time for your SO. I really hope that I can continue to make my marriage a top priority, because as someone who grew up with parents who largely ignored then hated each other, I believe it had an impact on my relationships.
It can be hard, but you learn to adjust and make time for each other.  If your marriage is a priority for both of you, you'll make it work.
