Question for moms who have BF'd 2+

Did you experience soreness with your nipples when the 2nd+ child started nursing, or did nursing the first child make them pretty much impervious? I nursed my son til 19 months and just curious if it'll be just like regular nursing at the beginning or if things will need to "toughen up" again?

Just as bad with the second one for me. And the cramps were SO much worse.

Is the same true for Tandom nursing? I'm still nursing DD whose 20months. I suppose NB latch is NB latch... Have invested in a new tub of nipple balm.

I had horrible pain with #1 for 6 wks, and soreness with #2 for about 48hrs. Much better the second time around.

I remember thinking my #2 was a piranha. He was a vicious NB latcher!

Dd2 hurt just as much as dd1 but overall the experience was much better. I was much more confident and knew what i was doing which I think helped a lot.

I really didn't have any nipple pain with #1 but #2 tore my nips up! He had a lazy latch that created so many issued. It really is a different experience each time.
