Yes, I would definitely be down for that. It would be really fun to get to know the other local Chicago moms who are due around the same time. I have checked out our local board several times and it's completely dead! Send me a PM if you want and we can talk about planning something.

Non pregnant me would spend it on clothes and shoes, a fun weekend trip within driving distance or plane tickets somewhere fun.

Pregnant me would spend it on things I want for the house that I haven't wanted to spend my bank account on (comfy reading chair and bookshelf for our bedroom.)

I'm a huge believer in spending present money on *me*, and force DH to do the same thing. My brother gives us cash each year so... this year I split it and actually bought some sewing supplies for baby stuff, and went out to fancy dinner and stashed some away. Last year I bought a burberry purse I had been trying to justify for over a year.
