names similar in style to Alexander

I recently posted about the name Alexander Giovanni but I think that its too much with our 5 syllable Italian last name.

Any suggestions that are similar to either Alexander or the combo??

We do as well. I want it for a first name but dh said no because I'm not Italian, while he's 100% Italian.

  • I think Vincent would work well and is in the same realm as Alexander.  My cousin, who is very Italian, included Vincent as a middle name and it works with their last name.

    Vincent Giovanni.....yup, that works well!

Tell your hubby I say boo hiss! Does this mean no Italian names as fns? Not even a shorter one, like Pietro?

So he says. I think he's being ridiculous. Its not like neither one of us is Italian.

I love it too. But my sister in law said it was too many syllables and now that's all I can think about.
  • We're going with Alexander Michael, it's not as many syllables, but still long.  I say go with it.  Do you think you will call him Alexander or shorten it to Alex?  My name is fairly long as well Abigail Miranda and I don't think it's a big deal.
