My beast of a dog jack just had a vet appointment for his ears...and he was giving me his Elvis lip. The cat penny lays under my bathroom vanity to catch all the hot air coming from underneath every morning.
Ours are annoying as sh*t but my boys love them so we keep them around Meet Sonny the old fart who wants to sleep and bark all day (the white one) and Charlie the rescue who is the biggest bully and picker and toy chewer upper in the world (the black one). They hate each other but they also have an interracial gay relationship. They fight, then hump.
@SarahVol131 Do you find having a male and female boxer worked out well? We are looking into getting a second and our girl LOVES other dogs but tends to like males more. Just curious about your experience.

Our situation has worked out great. We will honestly probably always have a male and a female boxer from now on. Ours are littermates though so the longest they have ever been apart is when Reily was spayed. They still puppy pile on top of each other and sleep curled up together. Rocky is also super laid back and not dominant. He lets his sister boss him around. If your female is bossy I'd go for a submissive male.
In my experience in the animal field female boxers tend to be more dominant than the males.
This is my doodlebug, Penelope. Sorry for multiple pics, I just love her so much! She has definitely been different since I got pregnant. She won't leave my side when I'm home, is very protective (more of a watchdog), and a lot more snuggly!! She's going to be the best big sister!
Our cat, Vers, came with DH, he follows him everywhere and i've never seen a cat act like him. Every person that meets him wants to steal him. It took a good 6 months to really warm up to me. I think he knows i'm pregnant but hasn't really acted any different.
Nitro is the black lab. He will be 2 in August, and is the most chill dude. My parents got him and after a couple weeks decided that they just couldn't take it anymore. DH and i took him in, trained him and he is totally my baby. He's laying on me in the picture. I don't think he knows i'm pregnant yet.

That's really interesting, thank you. She is the boss for sure. My brother has two big male dogs who are her boyfriends but she is definitely in charge when they're all together. It's probably a good idea to stick to a male, thanks again!

Happy to help! Plus, I love having a big ole goofy momma's boy dog.
I have two furry kids. Ares, the English Bulldog, is 8 1/2 years old and my first kid. He has always been my sidekick and lives to play with his 5 gallon bucket. Noah, picture top, is a rescue mutt that is 3 years old. He is a lover and my shadow. Both of these dogs are as loyal as it comes and loves DS. Noah is more in-tune with my pregnancies than Ares is.
This is our Kaliska or Kali or Kalialio. She answers to all three and is so loved by our entire family. We were so blessed to find such an easy going laid back dog that lets my DD use her as a step to get on the couch, guards the kids, and just loves to be with us. She doesn't act any different now that I am preg, but then she has always thought she was a lap dog so I am not surprised.
This is my little fur baby! Her name is Molly and she is 4 yrs old. She is a Morkie (Yorkie/Maltese). I don't really have any stories about her acting weird just yet. She's always right by my side so it should be interesting when baby gets here!
This is my fur baby Chloe...she's such a diva and has no clue I'm having a baby! She's a 2 year old morkie, and still jumps all over me to cuddle and give kisses...maybe once my belly gets bigger she'll notice something is different
Super late to the party but I had to wait until I was on the laptop to post a pic since I didn't have any on my phone that were decent. These are my two fur babies - the bigger black lab is mama's boy Chance - I adopted him from the local pound when he was about 8 weeks old (and about 8 pounds). He is a lab/shepard mix and is almost 7. The little one is Gypsy - she is a full blooded Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler that DH got from a rescue when she was a little one. She is about 3 now. They haven't changed since the pregnancy - they are both lap dogs even though they weigh 80 and 35 lbs respectively.
Meet our golden retriever, Milo! We rescued him from our local animal shelter in October and he is a year and a few months old. He helped us baby-proof our house...we had to change doorknobs and everything! Sometimes he's too smart for us, but we love him like crazy. His previous owner kept him in a small pen outside for the first year of his life and told the shelter, "I've done very little with him and he's not used to people." Definitely his loss - Milo has the best personality you could ask for in a pup. He's our 75 pound fur baby, loves to play rough with DH, and is definitely my guard dog!
This is my fur baby Carina. She is a mini fox terrier. She was really affectionate earlier in my pregnancy, but now that I'm showing she spends more time with OH. She still likes her cuddles with me on the sofa.
We have one fur baby. Her name is Lilly, she is two and is most definitely our first child. She plays rough mostly with my husband since the BFP and gives me all the snuggles She also follows me to the bathroom and lays outside the door every time I go in now.
So much cuteness in one thread! I wish my fur baby was doing something cute now that I'm KU but she seems oblivious. Here she is, Anni (Annabelle). She's 6yo and acts more like a dog than a cat (following me everywhere I go in the house, greeting me at the door when I come home, and playing fetch with a ball). I'm extremely nervous about introducing baby to her though since she's a super scaredy cat. I'm worried that she'll be so afraid of baby her quality of life will drop dramatically
My cats are Reesie and Frankie (short for Frankenstein). Reesie does not seem to notice I am pregnant but Frankie has become super affectionate. Very unusual for her.
My doberman Hero does not seems to notice. He is shy and afraid of everything so who knows. I also foster dobermans but they don't seem to care either.
My fur babies really are my children, and I get so upset when someone suggests things will change after the baby arrives - I just figure the dogs will get a new playmate!
So here are my two rescues:
Archie is the Yorkie mix (grey). He thinks he is the top dog and ruler of the house, but he's too small to even jump on the bed sooooo….
Max is the Chihuahua mix (brown). He is the softest, cuddliest dog ever! He loves giving kisses and always wants to be in a lap.
They both have been sleeping under the covers at night, I think because it's pretty chilly. They are super affectionate with me and spend every possible moment (like the current one) snuggling me, but I don't think that has much to do with me being pregnant! I do look forward to when I'm so big that they can't both fit on my lap!! They will be so confused!!
~~~~~
I also want to share my dog Dex (black and white). We lost him last year to kidney failure. We did everything to try and save him, and it was heartbreaking to let him go. He was only 4. He was a Shih Tzu (they're my breed, love all the Shih Tzus I saw in posts!!) and was my baby. I got him when he was 8 weeks old and we loved each other more than anything. I miss him every day.
