If you feel like sharing, below, why are you getting NST's and if you are a STM+ did you require them for previous pregnancies?

I don't know if I will be ask/required to do them.
I had to start them earlier then the above time frames.

Why...
Because I am overweight, no GD, no High Blood Pressure, no excessive weight gain. Not to mention, just 3 years ago when I had DD I was also overweight, with no complications, carried to term, had a vaginal delivery and healed up quickly after a 2nd degree tear and yet didn't need NST's then.
@karib509 It's a non-stress test, and it's where they put a strap around your stomach that measures LO's heartrate, I think. Normally it takes about 20-30 minutes.
I'm getting them weekly from 34 weeks due to high blood pressure/congenital heart issues and LO's possible kidney issues.
One NS test and one BBP once a week once I hit 32 weeks so I haven't had them yet, right now I'm just getting ultrasounds every two weeks. Due to my age and increased risk of placental failure. Never had any extra monitoring in my other pregnancies...

My LO had the hiccups during the NST today too. So cool to actually hear it!
It is very frustrating as I didn't have to do any of this just 3 years ago and had perfectly normal pregnancy, and when you decline any testing they making you feel guilty.
This time the OB Practice/Dr. who I had before has been not so fun and the added testing hasn't helped.
According to ACOG guidelines I didn't come across much that said there was a need for NST's or anything like that, but rather I should be paired nutrionalist during pregnancy. That was never suggested to me.
Needless to say, I am pretty convinced our family will be complete after this pregnancy. We will have one of each, and I'll be 31 in just a few short weeks, so by the time we'd consider to have kids again, I'd probably still be overweight, and 35+ years old and told to be on bed-rest for 9 months...
I am more and more convinced its an insurance thing and what they can do to get more money. I am also thinking that as soon as I hit 36 weeks they are going to try and bump my NST's to twice a week.
