Maternity clothes are so ugly!

I just got back from the mall and just realized how ugly most maternity clothes are! I was at Motherhood Maternity and everything is so old and out dated! I bought probably the only semi trendy shirt in there and then headed over to Express. I was in heaven in there! I ended up buying a 2 camis and a loose cardigan and was so happy. I wish there was an Express Maternity store! Glad I found some normal clothes that I can feel confident in!

    My pregnancy uniform has been a plain maternity tank or tee with a non-maternity cardigan. At this point I don't fit into any of my regular tanks and tees at all, but the cardigans fit fine as long as I don't button them.

    You should check out Ann Taylor Loft Maternity. I just saw that it exists and it looks like there are some cute things.

    Exactly why I live in yoga pants and Target's long & lean tanks (currently with a sweater cardigan over)! Love.

    Yeah I don't understand why they feel the need to make everything maternity in an ugly print.  I just want some basic colors!

    I don't see why anyone would spend money on maternity tops when you can find plenty of inexpensive yet functional tops at normal stores. I am 34w and I still mainly wear nonmaternity. I broke down and bought a pair of maternity jeans a couple weeks ago. I'm going to have to buy a couple winterish tops to extend my wardrobe this week. They will likely be from Banana or a similar store. Maternity is a waste and mainly ugly.

    I agree - thank god long cardigans are in every store this season - I've just been getting those and putting them over maternity tanks and tees.  But it's getting a little old - I'm a total clothes horse, and the lack of options is killing me.  Even if you're willing to spend $$, there aren't a ton of cute options. J Crew and Banana just need to come up with maternity stores!
