Oooooh ma goodness! Those two pups are so cute @LiteraChick ! I am bumping on my Nook so I can't post pictures but my siggy has my 4.
Can't remember which order they are in so bear with me. Phoebe - 4yo black & white tuxedo cat. She is an asshole and doesn't know how to be a cat. She loves the shower and is fat. Kiera - my 10yo black lab-a-dobi. She is a goofball and a total doofus. I call her Moose a lot. Osi - 4yo tri color aussie boy. He is my snuggle butt and a mama's boy. He has an obsession with food so we are trying to work with him on that before the baby comes. Sophie - the baby, 3yr mini aussie girl. She is high energy and loves her Daddy. I get minimal love from her but she is cute so I love her even if she is pain my ass.
It'll be interesting bringing a baby home, thats for sure!

We are cat people. Actually, I would love to get a dog, but apartment pet policies for 3 are hard to find without paying $$$$$$$$$$. The grey cat was DH's from before we met (Euphrates). The black and white cat is one we rescued from a shelter a month after moving in together (Turbo).
This is ODIE- My first baby and love of my life!! He's an almost 8yr old lab! Seriously the best dog, except he is always having some kind of issue - most recently he torn his puppy "acl" and had to have knee surgery to repair, that was about 9 weeks ago and we've been doing aquatherapy (so amazing they have this stuff for dogs!) .. Ugh and when he was a puppy he licked a paper shredder and got his tongue caught! You can still see the little ridges on his tongue from his surgery! But he's such a happy go lucky dog and he hasn't really acted any different since I became pregnant.
This is my little fur baby! Her name is Molly and she is 4 yrs old. She is a Morkie (Yorkie/Maltese). I don't really have any stories about her acting weird just yet. She's always right by my side so it should be interesting when baby gets here!
We have two yorkies. Joey was my baby before we got married. He used to take a pacifier so introducing a baby was quite interesting… DH bought Bella for me for our first anniversary. She was a complete surprise and I was so excited! Two weeks later we got our BFP for DS.… I was convinced Bella knew about the baby before I was even showing. I have tons of pictures of her sleeping with her head laid on my belly. They both love DS and watch over him carefully. The last picture is of them standing over DS's bassinet.
The blue and white one is my baby girl blitz. She's sweet as pie sometimes but also very sassy and territorial. She's also very curious, playful, talkative and messy.
The yellow one is my little cornflake. Her original name is daisy but it changes to bugzy or cornflake every now and then. She's very timid but sweet as can be. She's had a love hate thing going on with blitz.
The last one is my tiny little primrose. She really is teeny. She's definitely the sweetest one and timid too. And when she gets used to things she's very playful and talkative.
ETA: blitz is also a weirdo....she will slide down the narrow space in between our bookshelf and the wall and chill out behind it like its her hide out. Whenever I can't see or hear her, I'm like hm, she must be behind the bookshelf. And as always, she is there.
My babies are a Brittany/Pitbull mix named Lily(4) and a bulldog/beagle mix named Finn(1). They can both tell something is different and have been more relaxed and snuggly with me the last month or so.
This is my fur baby Neville. We rescued him two years ago. I haven't noticed too many changes in him since I've been pregnant. Maybe laying on me a bit more, but he's always done that.
This is my baby girl Snowball. A 2.5 year old terrier mix rescue. She use to be fairly independent but has become much more of a lap dog in recent months.
We have a Boston & a Shih Tzu. They are spoiled and don't seem to care at all that I'm pregnant They still think they can climb all over the belly. Anytime DH and I say the word "baby" our Boston runs over thinking we are talking about her.
My first baby is the black cat - Sassy aka naughty little shit. She was my first baby before dogs and before husband.
DH and I adopted Molly (black dog) in 2009. She had never lived indoors before, so we had our hands full. We hit 10 month with her (she was just about 2 years old) and she became our angel.
Next came Tucker (blonde dog). He had lived in a home before, but it was a bad time for him. He's our cuddler and our barker.
Lastly, we got our BuffyCat (unpictured) when DH's grandmother die two years ago. She's our elder lady of the house. She's 11 years old and is a crabby old biddy. She lives in the laundry room and vacations in the powder room on cold days (where she can shut the door and trap the heat in there to make her own sauna).
Never miss an opportunity to PW my furbaby! This is my boy Parker and he is the best! I don't think he's changed much since I've been pregnant, but he has always been pretty cuddly and loves to snuggle in bed. He has been more eager to rest his head on my belly, and tends to watch the door for "strangers" more, but we just moved, so maybe he is just getting to know our new place.

July 26, 2013: Starting Follistim for IVF #1

This is by far my FAVORITE post. My dogs are my favorite people to hang out with They definitely know something is up when I am in bed a lot more. They take full advantage to snuggle. Told DH the one thing I don't want to happen is the baby take away my attention from them. I have to learn to give equal snugs. Zoei is the tri color shih-tzu, Buckley is the Mastiff/Pointer mix.
This is Bob. We were told that he is a Boston Terrier & Poodle mix. We got him from a rescue when he was 1. He's 6 now and has come such a long way. He was abused in his first home. For a long time if we raised our arms above our head (reaching for something, giving a high five, stretching...) he would cower and back away. He was also wary of most men (he trusted my husband immediately, amazingly enough, I think because my husband is only 5'4"). Today Bob is very trusting and loves people.
He loves kissing the kids and is very fond of my 17 month old's tendency to throw food at meal times. He loves to cuddle and is a bit of a weirdo. It is hard to tell in this picture, but he is wearing a green hoodie and doesn't like us taking it off of him. He likes to sleep under blankets and is often found sleeping with his butt pressed against the heat register in our dining room (see picture). He's not cold, we keep the house at 70 degrees, but he likes to be extra warm. And he's allergic to grass...
Aww my lil lady is my first baby! She's almost 5 now but still super playful and energetic! She's a boxer who loves walks, being outdoors, snuggling and squeaker toys!
Since becoming pregnant she does a lot more snuggling. I'm not sure if she knows or if I'm just being much lazier which means more snuggle time!
I've got three! The grey cat was DH's before we started dating and I have adopted her as my own. She's 9 and cranky but loves to cuddle and eat my hair.
Next came Clementine, our little black kitten. She was my Christmas present in 2012 after me bitching for years that I wanted my own kitten
Last is Kodiak our sweet little 6 month old lab puppy. He is a sweet terror and my first dog ever. I hated dogs but DH loves them so I finally acquiesced and let him get one, and I'm really glad I caved!
This is Nala, my 9 month old sheepadoodle. She's definately a daddy's girl but lately has been such a snuggle bug with me . I'm slightly obsessed with her!!
I am mostly a lurker but I love this thread! We have two puggles- Cooper and Abby. About three weeks ago we had to put our black lab (Bailey) to sleep. She was only three and had cancer. She was the best dog and I miss her every day.
Love this thread! We have a "blended family" (DH had a dog and I had a dog when we met (both rescues)... they hated each other for over a year but these days they mostly put up with each other, especially if it means getting to share a lap or keep warm). Our two dogs are COMPLETE opposites but we love them both so much!
The white dog is Cosmo. He was DH's dog and he is a roughly 5yo rat terrier.
The black and tan dog is Ellie. She was my dog, and she is a roughly 4yo manchester terrier.
They have both been extra clingy since I found out I was pregnant, but that was also around the time that DH left. So I can't tell if they are just missing a human, or aware that there is a new one around!
Here's my Molly. She's a two year old Boxer who is silly and sweet. I know she will be great with baby. :-). She is always cuddly, but she loves resting her chin on my belly.
Okay, best thread ever!! All of your fur babies are so cute!
This is my sweet baby Mackey. He is an 8 month old English lab and a total cuddle bug. He has been extra clingy and is always sleeping with his head on my belly. It's there RIGHT now. He is going to be the best big brother!
I am mostly a lurker but I love this thread! We have two puggles- Cooper and Abby. About three weeks ago we had to put our black lab (Bailey) to sleep. She was only three and had cancer. She was the best dog and I miss her every day.
This is Duncan. Our 4yo collie/lab/who knows what else rescue. He love playing and hates cuddling but has been very protective of me for the past few months. He has always been great around children and babies, so I am hoping that he will love having one in our house! I'm excited for our son or daughter to grow up with a pet, something I never had.
These are my babies! Cody is the yellow lab and Sadie the black! Not sure if they notice a thing yet as they are always super snuggly. But Sadie did lay her little head on my belly today. It was very sweet!
These are our kitties! The brown guy is Goji and the grey and white is Odin. I don't know if they have noticed anything yet, but they are both very snugly, playful, and love everyone. They are also quite large at around 14 pounds each. Goji likes to pretend he's all regal half the time, but Odin is just a giant pile of weirdo.
Dagan, our 4 year old black lab isn't acting any different, other than resting his head on my belly more. He's always been a daddy's boy and that remains the same (our 2 older dogs go to work with DH)
Bueller is our 9 year old black lab. We raised him to be a guide dog as a puppy. He was an awesome guide for 7+ years and we are his retirement home. We adopted him the day after our IUI (which was done on his birthday. Totally legit reason to use Bueller as a middle name, right?? Ha!). He's a huge mama's boy - my little shadow and has to be leashes to get him to leave the house for work with DH because he wants to stay with me.
Next up is Mr Kitty. He's a rescue and somewhere between 10 & 12. His biggest change is that he used to walk up and down my body at night to move between sleeping at my head and feet. Now, he gets up, walks up and down DH and cuts over to be by me in his spots.
Lastly is the new guy. We picked Wheaton up last Sunday as our latest service dog trainee. He is 3/4 golden retriever and 1/4 Labrador and will be 6 mos old this week.
(There's some chance I typed this from my phone while wedged between the two black labs...)
I love fur ball threads! Everyone's fuzz face is so cute! Okay, here I go!
this is my cat, Caolin. I got her for my birthday after my brother passed away. She was a friend's cat's kitten, and when she brought her over, she was scared of everyone but me. She cuddled right up in my lap and just never left! My mom's cat didn't like her, though, so she lived in my room only until I moved out after getting married, which made her pretty maladjusted. She only likes me, and barely puts up with DH and vice versa. She is an unholy terror, but when she isn't tearing up the linoleum or causing DH to yell at her, she spends her days cuddled up on my belly (even Moreso since I got pregnant. She just doesn't wanna get off me ever!) giving me kitty kisses on the hands and cheeks, and helping the clothes retain the warmth of the dryer. And that's just a day in the life of Beelzebrat the Demon Cat.
I have two- Jackson, a naughty Shiba Inu who I love to pieces and a love bug greyhound-Shepard mix- Zoey.
Jacks is red and looks like a fox- Zoey is a dark brindle.
Stories... Jackson once dug a home in our carpet. Zoeys worst feature is she eats poop out of the yard. Either way, I love them both. Should be interesting bringing home our first LO.
I love your fur babies!! Such great rescue stories and the fur babies who know mommy is pregnant makes my heart so warm.
We don't have our own fur babies yet but my parents' bichons are the loves of my life so I have to share.
The first is Amici (Uh-mee-chee). He's the runt and extremely cuddly. He whines around 9pm until you take him up to my parents' bed and tuck him in under the covers. He falls asleep immediately. He loves to have his picture taken.
The next is DH with Toby (from same mommy but different litter). Toby looks like he's embarrassed to be photographed or ashamed of something DH may have just said. That pic cracks me up.
The last is not mine obviously but I had to share.
This is Rocky. He's a 14 year old Min Pin/Chihuahua mix. He has really bad breath and likes to lick your feet. He's a big time momma's boy but doesn't seem to care at all that I'm pregnant. He's our weird, old man dog and we love him to pieces... stinky breath & all.
I don't claim the dog (Elmer), it's a rescue @KleMcK found when we moved in to our house. The cat is a rescue I got to keep me company when I moved across the country for a job. Bella is 7, Elmer is 3 1/2.
I love this thread, and I love animals! In fact I was on track to go to Vet school for awhile before I decided it wasn't for me.
These are my babies!
Top L: Princess Reily. She is a female black brindle boxer. She is sassy and smart as a whip. She's also stubborn and a complete Daddy's Girl! She loves to have her belly rubbed and bark at the dogs next door. She's very friendly, but also fiercely protective of her family especially her momma and baby girl. I pity the fool who tries something with this girl around.
Top R: Rocky Top. Rocky is a male fawn boxer. He is Reily's littermate, but they have different birthdays! Where Reily got all the brains he got all the beauty. He's quite possibly the sweetest, most even tempered and loving dog I've ever known. He's a total momma's boy and adores the ground that Evie walks on. He loves inside babies and can often be found snuggling up in my lap with his head on my bump. He loves outside babies, too. In fact, he just loves everyone.
Bottom L: Margaret Mary (NN Maggie Mae) Maggie is a black and silver miniature schnauzer and picked me to be her Momma when I was a junior in college. She's ten years old now and the love of my life. She's a total Momma's girl and a belly rub whore. She has the personality of a golden retreiver in a schnauzer body.
Bottom R: Peyton Poo (NN Pey Poos) Peyton is a black miniature schnauzer. A girl I worked with at an animal hospital bred her all black mini schnauzer in 2007. I knew I had to have one of those puppies! On August 10, 2007 I arrived at work and was there to witness Peyton's birth. Peyton is 100% sass and snark. She talks in a low woofing drawn out bark that I find hilarious. She's thinks she's about ten times bigger than she is and believes she is in charge. She hates to have her belly rubbed but loves to sit in your lap.
Our Cat: Mollie Jinx (NN MJ) MJ was available for rescue at our Pet Smart. We saw her through the window when she was about six months old and fell in love. I filled out the adoption paperwork online and a week later she was ours. She's sassy and very mouthy, but very gentle. She's not declawed but never uses her claws on anything other than her scratching post. MJ is about 30% dog, which we love!
