picky mom needs advice on new swing

Hello!

With baby number two on the way we have decided to update a few items from the first baby... one major one is the swing. I want a swing/cradle with the multiple positions- back and forth as well as side to side- also on the wants list: PLUGS INTO THE WALL... we spent some serious dough last time around on D batteries...  I want it to be cuddley fleece/soft material not that scratchy cotton and last but not least... not a fan of that plastic piece that seperate the legs out... baby is usually swaddled and this isn't condusive for cuddles... I know this swing exists but I can't seem to find it on amazon or target... HELP!

  • We loved our swing and I think it meets all your requirements. Fisher Price Snugabunny.

This. We had this one and really liked it.

  • Yeah...the Snugabunny or any of the Snuga- iterations.

Be warned though: the Snugabunny has known motor issues. Fisher Price is great about honoring its warranty, but when ours died it was a six week back order for the replacement motor.
  • awe! This is perfect! For some reason this one doesn't advertise that its plug in... it was in some of the reviews but not in the description... that actually says D batts required!!

I assure you that it does plug in.

  • Yup, we used the snugabunny too - definitely plugs in and we never had motor issues (although I hear that it's more common than you would think - but FP does a good job of replacing as needed).

This swing was my most valuable purchase. Seriously, it saved my sanity. I'm not sure how soon you need it, but I watched the prices and got a really good deal on amazon.

  • I absolutely loved my Snugabunny swing too but have you checked out the Mamaroo? If I was going to do it all over again I'd register for that instead.

  • My boy LOVED his snugabunny!  I used until he was about 10 months and he was so heavy it wouldn't work anymore!  It was a real life saver.  That was the only thing sometimes that would soothe him.  I got mine used and I never had any issues with it.
  • DS loved his snuggabunny too. He used it until a couple months ago. The last 6 months or so it was only when he was sick or while hanging out and waiting for DH to take him to dc in the morning. I don't know what we would have done without it.
