97% percentile head - omg!

We got some interesting news during our ultrasound today... I'm 28 weeks and our baby boy is measuring at 30 weeks, weighing 3 lbs and 97% percentile for head size! I won't lie when I say I'm a little more scared of birth now haha!

  • DD was off the charts and came out with under an hour of pushing. Maybe 45min. You can do it!

  • Maybe baby boy is having a growth spurt early. My boy went from 23 Percentile to 60th percentile in five weeks.
  • Your baby's size will fluctuate all the time. Don't sweat it - everything will be perfectly fine!!  :)

  • My sister and I were literally just talking about this. Her 13-month-old had a head in the 99th percentile and she pushed for 30 minutes and had no tearing. You can do it! :)

  • And I have to add - what's funny is my stomach is measuring a week less than what I actually am... Today was our last ultrasound so I will have no idea if he's really big until I give birth! :-S

  • Mine is measuring in the 91st percentile and I'm scared too! I had an US at L&D the it here day so I can't wait for my appt to see if she is still measuring big.

  • You really cannot take much stock in ultrasound measurements -- there is a pretty large margin of error. I wouldn't worry at all!
