Re: Movement -- it ain't just flutters!

  • I've had weird twitching, and what feels like a poke. Not much or often, but definitely not gas, at least I'm pretty sure???

I may be going slightly off-topic in my own thread, but I also sometimes feel a "heaviness" in my lower belly/uppper FUPA region -- normally when I stand up from a sitting position.

It doesn't feel like the baby, although I'm sure it's baby-related (as opposed to food/poop related.)
    Could that be RPL?
I've been getting this too--I asked my OB on Friday and she said it probably is baby hanging out down low. Makes sense, I sniss more when he's down there.

I'm feeling kicks and punches. Like the baby is practicing kickboxing in there. I'm a little apprehensive about the latter months of this pregnancy. I might be walking around with a bruised stomach lol.

mommyp10 I just have a feeling its a boy and I dont see the problem with hoping for a boy, im sure many of you want one or the other.

If you find out it's a girl and start a post about how sad you are...I'm going to flame you. Just a heads up.

Actually if you have a boy and post about it, I'm still going to flame you. I'm judging you for assuming you are having a boy.

This sounds very similar to what I feel nearly every night when I have to get up to pee. I have to do this weird side roll thing to get out of bed because I can't just sit up like I normally would. OB said it was just full bladder coupled with the extra baby pressure. As long as the pressure goes away after being up & voiding bladder she wasn't concerned.

ETA : baby is hanging out very low on me.
I'm carrying pretty low too. I figured it was something like this, but nice to get some confirmation -- thanks.

  • SS - For me it feels like I'm being thumped on the inside.  With two older brothers, I am very familiar with the "thump" sensation so that's the best way I can describe it.  Occasionally it will feel like a flutter but that's usually when he is farther back in position.

I have had a few distinct kicks...one even DH felt. Like, woah! Most of the time, I feel like the movement feels like flutters or a rumble. In fact, the rumble description is perfect for me, because sometimes it is hard to determine if the feeling I felt was baby or gas. Haha sometimes I also feel like someone is taking the eraser side of a pencil and gently poking me on the inside.

  • Definitely flutters and I can now tell which is which after our last ultrasound. Movement on my right is baby A and movement on my left is Baby B. They are not usually active at the same time. Baby B is much more active.
