Final Update: Poor Sully :(

So this is the baby I woke up this morning...

I'm wondering if it is his lotion (bath night was last night). Off to the doctors we go!

Update: Just got home from the pediatrician and she confirmed the poor baby has my horrible eczema. I am also battling a nice breakout on my face and chest right now. She said to use the Aveno baby wash and Aquaphor. Thankfully with my skin we are loaded up with Aquaphor. She also said the Curel that I use is ok on him. Curel is the only lotion I can use that doesn't make things worse, including on my face

We haven't changed lotions, washes, detergents, and we aren't on solids yet. Must just be the dry cold air here and the cold temps.

Thanks everyone for the well wishes! I'm off to give Sully a quick wipe down and slather him up in lotion.

Final Update: Thanks everyone for the well wishes and thoughts. I bathed him in plain water then coated him in Curel. I used fresh towels, wash cloths, and clothes so nothing had touched his old baby wash/lotions. It took a while for the rash to calm down, but I was able to keep him content most of the day with some comfort nursing and letting him sleep on me. Poor guy was just miserable, but now he is smiling and rolling around after the pups on the floor like his old self again. FX switching lotions and baby wash keeps this horrible eczema at bay!

I suffer from Eczema. I was hoping he would get his Dad's skin, but I don't think he will be that lucky.

My friend's baby gets that when she eats eggs/now that he's older, it's when he eats eggs on accident (if it's in a sauce and they don't realize).

I'm sorry. We didn't change anything either and bam its like it went from a rough spot or two to a whole body breakout over night

my SO had it bad as a baby/kid so I guess my LO got it from him.

Does Sully act like it bothers him? Haddock doesn't seem to care but I have to put a prescription lotion on him because his entire body aside from his face looked like Sully's. So sad, it's just now starting to get a little better after a week of the prescription.

Hope you can get his ezcema under control soon

@Asbromle that is exactly what happened to Sully: WHOMP there it is! :P It has gone down quite a bit since this AM, thankfully. He isn't scratching it or anything, but he does seem to be a little more irritable today. I can't get him to sit and play for long periods of time. He's been nursing and sleeping a lot more today. I'll just stay home with him and love on him. The nurse on the emergency line asked if he was scratching it and I said "I don't think he knows how to scratch?" Still working on the fine motor skills over here.

I hope Haddock's clears up soon. I know with mine I have to moisturize religiously every single day or it starts popping back up in patches. It's a bitch, but hopefully Sully's doesn't continue into adulthood like mine has.

My ped had us switch to Aveeno, and my girls eczema got worst. Is that what you used last night? If it is, maybe try out some other brands. When a brand works for your son, you won't have a reaction at all. However, I have no clue about how cold effects it- it's 73 here in CA! But that looks extreme for just cold weather.
We can only use mustela or an oatmeal bar soap from trader joes. And the mustela lotion.

Jadzia has it too. Aveeno, Aquaphor, and coconut oil are in our arsenal

And the pedi gave us a Rx for a steroid ointment when it really flares up.

@ceechie, we were not using Aveeno, we were using J&J naturals. I should've known better since I can't use anything with any scent on myself.

I've used that since the beginning and it is just now causing issues. I think we are going to try cetaphyl or cerave for now since those are super gentle, and I have them laying around for myself.

Poor guy! It's so scary to see them all broken out. Hope the cetaphyl works!
