DH "spontaneously" decided to get yet another tattoo today.

So while I'm sitting here in the parlor waiting for him, I'm wondering: What, if any tattoos do you have? Any funny, sad, drunk or uplifting tattoo stories?

I have 3- one "tramp stamp" circa 2000 before they were trampy. One on the back of my neck and one on the inside of my ankle. All are mostly coverable for work and occasions. I don't have any real regrets, but I'm not sure where I would put any others.

I have two-- stars on my lower left back, and a dove just over my right hip, on my side. I keep wondering what will happen to the poor dove when I get pregnant- I think it's nose is going to stretch wayyy out but it's tail will stay the same size. Going to be SUPER cute. 8-|

I have quite a few tats, but I got them all in places that can be covered if I wanted to.

Lessee, a bat behind my ear (for when I was edgy and goth), an ankh just above my buttcrack (also from goth days), a friendship tattoo of a blue rose on my foot, a warning symbol between my boobs, a full set of wings from shoulder to butt (my favorite), and... well, let's just say I got drunk after a breakup with a guy who sucked at giving oral. So, in my drunken wisdom, I got an instruction manual above my cooch.

I have 5 .... Stars on my foot, the Aries constellation on my right shoulder, 4 frogs going up my left side on my ribs, "let it be" on my right forearm and a lobster on my left forearm.

My husband and I got the lobsters on our first wedding anniversary

I love all my tattoos because they all have the same style from the same artist

I have one tattoo above my right hip. It's a violet petal, which is my sorority flower. I got it when I was 19 and it felt rebellious at the time. I was a bit sheltered growing up, to say the least.

I just have one for now and I had it done when I was 19. It's a small yellow butterfly on my back above my right hip. Getting it was a bit of a spur of the moment decision when my little brother asked me to drive him to the tattoo parlor, but I have never regretted it. For me, yellow butterflies have always been a symbol of hope and a reminder of loved ones who have passed.

I want another one, but I'm still trying to figure out exactly what I want. Right now I'm about 90% sure it will include a rose or roses.

My violet petal tattoo is in the same place above my hip and I've wondered how much it will stretch if I ever get pregnant. It will be be the biggest flower petal ever.

3. An Aries sign on the inside of my wrist. A Type O Negative symbol on my right ass cheek. This is a band FYI. And a skull & crossbones with pigtails on my ankle. I have been failing at feeding my tattoo fund for the lilies and butterflies I want on my back. I need $400 and I only have around. $250

I have a small butterfly on my right shoulder. I got it when I turned 18. My grandma took me to get it, lol. She actually helped me pick it out. I don't regret it at all (especially since she is gone now.)

I want to add to it or get a new one somewhere for my daughter but I'm not sure what/where yet.

I have 1, a turtle on my right lower abdomen. I often think if how it will look during pregnancy as well! I don't regret my tattoo, I was only 18, however I don't think I would have gotten the turtle as it is animated and looks remarkably like franklin the turtle! When I was at the tattoo parlor I was flipping through the books and was like 'hey, that's cute... Why not permemtly put it on my body'. I still tell myself I like it!

I really want another one, a small one on my wrist, just not sure what though!

we just went to a whole new level with the tattoos! I'm always asked if I'm from the east coast now haha

My tattoo artist was able to make mine super pretty

I have one on the back of my neck. It is literally clip art that I designed in MS Word and then carried it in my wallet for 2 years before deciding to go for it. I want one more -- a number that is sentimental to me & DH. But I can't decide where to put it.

I have 2-- a small 4 leaf clover on my right hip that I had done within my tan lines so my mom would never see it. Then years later got Japanese writing for faith, love, peace on my right foot. I love the one my my foot and hope the clover does not end up getting huge if I'm ever pregnant.

Everyone is so afraid of what their tats will do when pregnant. I have tribal with flowers around my belly button. It got as big as the front of my stomach and looked insane. I am happy to report that it went back to almost its orginal shape and when people see it now they almost always say "you got that after DD right?". Moral of the story don't freak out, it couldn't be any worse than around your belly button.

I have two. A cliche asian character tramp stamp, my first. It's only redeeming quality is it's the Japanese symbol for "tooth" since I'm a dental hygienist, I like to think that makes it slightly better and less trashy. My other is on the inside of my ankle and is the Ohio State Block "O" for my alma mater.

I want to get at least once more, maybe two. The current frontrunner is this except I'm trying to incorporate a sunflower instead of a dandilion since it's my favorite flower and with only two birds. One for my mom and one for my miscarriage. It will likely be on my back/shoulder as below.

Even if I weren't afraid of needles, I don't really know of something I'd want permanently on my body. I feel like I wouldn't like it long enough.

My husband would never get one. He has no interest whatsoever.

I have four tattoos one on my foot, a butterfly that I got when my divorce was final. I have one tramp stamp that I got when I was 19 that is a heart and roses. And two dolphins one on my upper back and one on the side of my calf.

My husband is working on full sleeves on both arms. I love me an inked man

I only have 3 - a beautiful fairy with the sun rising over her on my lower back, aka: tramp stamp

then I have a double star (a big one with a smaller in inside of it) on the front of my ankle & a half crescent moon with 4 stars at the top of my back.

I'd love to get more, but so far, all I can & WILL commit to is a dragonfly in honor of my grandpa, who is no longer here & I miss dearly.

I've got 5. The only one I regret is the 'tramp stamp' I got the day I turned 18. I also have one on my wrist (word), foot (vine), hip (flower), and ribcage (quote). They all have meaning and aren't visible when wearing a one piece swimsuit, with the exception of my wrist.

I don't have any tattoos yet, but I want to get one this spring when I turn 30! My husband has one and I wish he had more.

I got my navel pierced when I was 17. No regrets, but I do wonder what will happen with the piercing hole if/when I ever get pregnant.

I have one. It's a stick and poke I gave to myself. So far I've had two "sessions" with it, but it needs more. I'm just afraid to work on it while nursing.

I have a fair amount of tattoos! on my left upper arm i have colored feathers floating in smoky haze - about half-sleeve sized except only on the outer part of my arm. on my right upper arm I have a group of dahlias from a print that used to hang in my grandmother's house, a blue butterfly (covering up an anchor tattoo that i got with some former friends), a pair of crossed keys (from the smashing pumpkins 'mellon collie' liner notes - this was my very first tattoo) inside of a sun. i have 'calm' on my left wrist, 'strength' on my right. on my abdomen i have two four-leaf clovers - one on each side. they are going to look so funky when i'm pregnant, haha. and then on my left side i have a G with a flower, for my dog who passed away.

i'd love to get more tattoos, i just don't have the money right now. also, i moved across the country from my awesome tattoo artist friend, and haven't found anyone in my new city yet.
