So I'm going back to work this Wednesday. I spent a couple of hours in my classroom today prepping. It's a little weird going back to work knowing that my students were someone else's students for all this time. I kind of feel like I'm walking into someone else's class. Anyone else have this feeling? I am so not looking forward to this, I would much rather be staying home with my littles. I know it will be different going into next school year.

Once LO gets her 2 month shots I'm taking her in to meet some of my students (I have 120...) and it will be weird to have another teacher in my room. They also did not get a long term sub, but a temporary teacher, so I have all these fears of my students liking him better, my admin thinking he does a better job then me (I'm on a year to year probationary contact, which is all they give now in FL) so I fear for my job! Even though rumor has it that my principal wants me to be department head next year. I'm trying not to stress about going back though, since I still have 2 months off...*sigh*

When I went back, I had 40 little children come tackle me to the ground. It was the best feeling ever. My teacher had even been showing them pictures of my baby that she had gotten off Facebook. They kept telling me how much they missed me and how much they want to meet my baby. They were so sweet. I really think you'll be surprised.

I have a semester class, high school. So I won't know any of my students. @imrachallea I think you took my fears right out if my mind. I had a long term sub but I worried about the students liking him better and or admin liking how he ran my class better than I did. I'm sure they are irrational but I still worry.

I went back to see my babies and most were asleep. The ones awake were confused why I was holding a baby. Hahahaha I work an infant room so I can't really explain that I had a baby to them.

The first week back is weird but after that you will fall right back into the routine. Last time I got a lot if "Mrs. E did it this way." Then I would be mean teacher and say "Mrs. E isn't here anymore we are doing it this way." Eventually they stopped.
My first day back is Tuesday and I'm dreading it. Only 4 1/2 months til summer vacation!

Yes!! I go back next week and it will be really weird. I stopped the other day to see the kids and it was so odd to see someone in my room teaching my kids.

My son attends the same school that I teach at. It has been weird dropping him off/picking him up while avoiding my own classroom.

I go back on May 5th and I'm dreading it. I feel like I am going to be a sub in my own room! I am glad that I get to close up for the year at least so everything can be back where I want it and I can get myself organized.

I go back in 3 weeks. I'm not looking forward to it. I teach 3rd grade and with all the new testing legislature I am not excited about how much intense review/make up I'm going to have to do. Plus I miss my baby just thinking about it.

I go back next week. Then, it's just 5 weeks until spring break. I can do this.

My sub had to start the new semester class. I think it will be weird when I go back to see all new students.

I miss my students, but I'm not going back to the same school. Starting new all over again with the DOE
