Hi Ladies! I have been lurking for a while but decided to share my story in case it can help someone else. The way others' stories have helped me.
The hubs and I are both 32, together since high school, married 8/3/12, and decided to go off BC after being married a year. I wasn't charting because we were "not trying but not preventing". Positive hpt on NYE.
1/6/14 - A blood test confirmed my pregnancy with an hcg level of 113
1/15/14 - After spotting, I went to see an OB. My hcg was at 653. Based on my lmp I was about 6w, but OB said maybe I was not as far along since he didn't see anything (no sacs) on my u/s. He scheduled a follow-up u/s a week later.
1/19/14 - My spotting got heavier, so I went to urgent care. My hcg had dropped to 401. As soon as I got home, I started passing large clots. I felt like as soon as my mind had realized that I was m/c (finding out my hcg level dropped) then my body followed through.
1/21/14 - Went in for an u/s. The OB said my uterine lining had gone from 1.2cm on Wed to less than .5cm, so I had passed most of it. He said since he hadn't seen anything in the first u/s and my hcg had never really gone into doubling, that I had a CP. My hcg level was down to 108.
The hubs has been great throughout. He said that it's sad but it's made us realize that we really do want kids. And as soon as I'm ready we can try again.
Sorry such a long post, but I'm hoping this helps me with the healing process too. Was hoping my first post would be in "1st Trimester" but I'm glad to be in the company of you all. Thank you.
